  • From my profile Why I Want To Get In Shape Sick of looking like this. I work in the leisure industry and I am the largest at work, by a long way. I want to look like I belong there because I am good at my job and will not be judged by my size any more. Simple as that for me.
  • Another one here. I am no angel at this but I post my ups and downs and happy to help if you are a visual part of MFP. Anyone can add me so long as your diary is open. I will try and send some requests out myself when I get time. I am in Manchester but I hail from Newcastle. Debs
  • No need to be sorry. Maybe I should have posted this on a different board and asked if anyone had done, rather on here and ask if it could be done. Another day maybe
  • Success in this question to me is losing the amount of weight you wanted/got down to the size or shape you wanted/ changed your fat% to the healthier range you wanted. Gym Bunny to me is a person who goes to the gym at least 3 times a week, usually 5/6. I would even go so far to say someone who does not go to a gym but…
  • Mine is listed as 'Alternative Gymnastics'
  • I have just created a Photo Bucket account to starting keeping progress pictures so I can see the changes. I have a few friends on here who have lost a lot of weight and they do post about struggling to recognise how far they have come. Your loss is a huge one, and one you should be so proud off. As humans we are never…
  • One hangover cure = 1 McD's Double Sausage McMuffin ( minus the egg even though I am an egg addict but do not like how McD's cook them) with a Hash Brown, plus a Tropicana with bits in it. Not often I have a hangover so not often I eat it, but when I do I wolf it down. Also like the Quarter Pounder with Cheese but the…
  • You can also use them on your hair to give it shine. Not that I would ever waste the yummy bit of yellow gold in that fragile casing in that way. I adore eggs and eat as many as I can fit into my diet.
  • Ha ha me too. When there is none in the house I am fine. Once a loaf hits the kitchen I go mad with it. Toast with scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, poached eggs. Toast with marmite, jam or marmalade. Sandwiches with ANYTHING I can put in it. Soup and bread. You get the picture. I no longer keep butter/spread in the house and…
  • ^^^This I fell off the wagon for 6 weeks. When I say fell off I meant that more days were me not sticking to healthy eating and processed/takeaway food/confectionery became a higher% of my intake. I have now decided that I have to stay away from these sorts of foods until my mental strength is one hell of a lot bigger than…
  • I have a fabulous set of friends on here but one does really stand out, Kcragg. Her diary is always spot on, she exercises most days, she replies to loads of my stuff and she is just such an inspiration to do better if you are failing.
  • I am currently weaning myself off fizzy no/low cals drinks as I have heard that you will never get rid of your sweet tooth as they are artificially feeding it. The only one I have to get rid of are lemonade and flavoured water. Getting rid of coke/fanta etc was easy. I adore flavoured water. Drink 3 bottles of it a day,…
  • I have made a batch of chilli this weekend and used turkey mince for the first time. It just does not taste the same and when I make my batch for next month I will be going back to lean, not ultra lean as it has no taste, minced beef.
  • I have just come back from Cyprus and my urine was a terrible colour the whole time I was out there. I could not get enough water in - I was up to 3 litres at one point. I have come back to England ( Manchester in the NW) and my pee is back to a good colour with my normal intake.
  • I have a large piece of paper on my pin board. It has 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 7 dinners on it for the month. I went shopping on Friday and bought everything I needed to accommodate those meals (except for fresh veg) for 4 weeks. So yes, 84 meals. I then made chilli, bolognese sauce, and soup yesterday and it is in the…
  • I wake at about 3.30am most days. Try and stay in bed for 4.30 and then up and dressed to get to work at 6am. I have a horrible problem having breakfast as not hungry in the mornings but if I do not have it before I leave then I will not get a chance to eat properly until 11am. I then work any time up to 2pm - 7pm (without…
  • This is just how I do it too
  • I also took sugar off due to being sick of seeing it over due to the fruit I was eating. I track cals, protein, carbs, fibre and fat. I always eat over in my fibre and protein and always under in my carbs. Fat will work itself out and I pray like hell that I can keep under the cals.
  • Thumbs down. The only time I count water that has had something else added to it is when I drink fruit squash or barley water juice.
  • Greggs has a lot to answer for in the UK. I too was a 2 cheese and onion pasties as a time girl. Add to that their huge french salad sandwiches ( which THANK GOD) they do not do in the NW of England, a vanilla slice and a doughnut and you had lunch/afternoon snack for me on a regular basis. I used to buy a 3/4 piece box of…
  • What a beautiful picture x. Now, where are the bikini ones? When I get on my plane this afternoon I will be looking forward to not worrying about touching the person in the seat next to me with 'overspill' Well, unless they need to lose a bit and then I will give them MFP's website address
  • I got my book the other day too and I cannot wait to get stuck into the recipes ( when I come back from my holiday in Cyprus)
  • There are some great ideas in these links Thanks for posting them!
  • Watched the first episode last week and then was wandering round the net looking for their lasagne recipe last night. Didn't realise their book came out on the 02 Aug and ordered it off Amazon last night.
  • She may have lost weight but did you see the state of her lips? All cracked and scabby as she had starved herself of the nutrients that she needed to stay healthy. There is also another video on there from her 6 months down the line saying she is pregnant with her 8th child and not fasting, at the moment. Just plain nuts.
  • Bumping this to come back to when I have checked out the dvd
  • I have recently started on the weights and my loss has pretty much stalled. One thing that is keeping me really well motivated is how good I am looking after the 6 weeks. There is no doubt that I have lost inches where it matters and that is what I am after. The scales could say I was 250lbs so long as I was in a UK size…
  • I try and log my Monday to Friday food on a Sunday evening as I do my shopping on a Monday and can write a list. My calories are usually over by about 100 but that is because I am training the 5 weekdays a week so I know I will get them back on the burn. Weekends I need to be a bit more fluid but I still log it in the…
  • Was supposed to be off tomorrow but now working till lunchtime. Then out for dinner and cocktails tomorrow night. Working all day Sunday. Roll on Monday = my day off!
  • I have a PT just for this reason. I do PT with him twice a week, do a group exercise once a week, a cardio set once a week and now train in the pool once a week. It does sound like you need to find a better gym or ask around in the free weights area for any recommendations.
