I have just completed the 30DS a few days ago and in the first fortnight (10 days of the shred with 4 days rest) I gained 5.5lbs  However, during the final 10 days I shifted the 5.5 I had gained plus another 3.5lbs and at the end of the programme I had lost a whopping 8.5 inches overall and dropped a whole dress size…

Looks like a wasp to me.......... can't see the size - hornets are like wasps but around 2 or 3 times the size of a wasp, so if it's big it might be a hornet.

Blue fillet steak........ slice it off the *kitten* and slap it on the plate as a wonderful Texan anaesthetist I once knew used to say........ he did make me chuckle

i finally finished the 30DS, but in far more than 30 days as I had to take a fortnight out due to travelling round the UK with work and being unable to work out in the little Victorian B&B with suspended ceilings I stayed in (which would probably have collpased :noway: ) Any way - very pleased with the results. I didn't…

TDEE = total daily energy expenditure and NSV = non scale victory (things like losing inches, getting better times on your running, lifting a heavier weight etc)

Leave your Fitbit on when you work out and you can log your activity on MFP or Fitbit using the cals on your HRM. FitBit will take out the steps for that period - you will be asked to log a start time when you log your exercise and enter the duration. Does that make sense?

Knocking 53 but definitely not an old fart. I still ride an 1100cc cruiser and my and my DH regularly go to bike rallies and dance the youngsters under the table every night  I hear you with the difficulty in shifting the pounds now though - soooooo much harder than it was 30 years ago, but that's more of an…

Yep, swimming would be ideal. No weight bearing and the water will help support your knee joints too.

I have 2 days left on Level 3 now. I am afraid I didn't take photos, but I did measure. I lost 3" off my waist, 3" off my hips, 1.5" off each thigh, 0.5" off each upper arm (and I have biceps too!) and nothing off my bust. I didn't lose much at all in terms of weight but I didn't expect to as I am pretty close to target…

With hindsight I probably had an ED in my early to mid-20s, although I would have definitely denied it at the time! I did have much thinner hair back then too, but it seems OK now despite the fact that I am now in my 50s and menopausal which can also cause hair thinning and/or loss. I wish you the very best of luck in your…

Tap all the way. We are very luck yin that out water comes straight from the water table via borehole and is always freezing cold, clear as a bell and taste of nothing (which is what water shoudl taste of!). If we go away anywhere for the day I fill up a 5 litre bottle and take it with me as I can't stand the taste of…

I walk my dog (a lively Doberman) a couple of miles every day and also do Nordic walking (fast walking with poles) which burns about half as many calories again as just walking does a few times a month. It is very hilly here in Wales so there is lots of incline work involved in all my walks - the Nordic walking is all done…

I am on Day 6 of Level 3 so nearly there. I has been TOUGH but worth every grunt, groan whinge, curse and moan. I haven't had huge success on the scales, but I have lost loads in inches and have dropped from a UK size 16 to a UK size 12! I am also stronger, fitter and much more confident. I say go for it - and when it gets…

I have missed 2 days of Juillian as I have been away at a conference, but back in there like a ferret up a drainpipe tonight! I am on the home run now and I WILL finish the final 5 days of Level 3 in the next week or so. I am away again on Sunday for 6 days at another conference followed by a 2 day congress where I am…

Missed yesterday as I was seized up solid after a long, steep hike with my Lily (Doberman) in the morning, part run/part walk. I am back in on it tonight though - strangely enough I miss my pike ab moves - does this mean I am starting to enjoy pain  5 days to go and that's me done and dusted................ OK,…

I have 5 days left on Level 3 and, surprisingly, I have enjoyed it even though I grunt, groan, sweat and curse through the whole thing! I also have 3 other JM DVDs so I might get one of those out next and have a go - No More Trouble Zones perhaps??? but this time I will mix and match with other stuff as I do find the same…
