Me too! I'm starting on Monday! :-)

Ok, I looked up toe touches on youtube. You sit on your bum, lift your legs straight and do sort of a jack knife type moevement. Where you bring your toes and hands together and then go back to start position of hands above head and legs pointed forward. Works abs too! :-)

Have you thought of trying a couch to 5K program? Just google C25K and its free. I would suggest maybe walking first to shift some weight because high impact is bad for the knees. Start slowly and build up, you have lots of time. What I did was work myself up to where I can walk for 15 minutes at a constant speed, then…

I actually didn't have a clue about the toe touches. I can't even touch my toes! But I did it standing and just bent a little to touch my toes. I actually felt more of a stretch when I bent down... So I guess whatever works?

Its blood flow, like mentioned above... The itch, although uncomfortable, means that what you are doing is working! I get it as well when I skip a week or three of walking. Try not to scratch though, when you get the bad itch, just stand still for two or three minutes, do some stretches and then start walking/running again.

I've adapted a little bit... I eat low fat vanilla yoghurt, also can't get the plain down, unless I add lemon juice, black pepper and a bit of garlic, then I eat it on veg and protein days as a dip for vegetables. I eat a lot of dried, cured meat, in South Africa we call it biltong, its like bresola (not sure about the…

I weigh myself every wednesday morning, and then once a month i take my measuments. That way I know I see progress!

As SashaMegan said, in the third phase you start adding back your starches, once a week, also you can have wholegrain bread again, as well as cheese (not all cheeses though) also, you get celebration meals once a week (twice in the second part of the consolidation phase) where you can eat anything you crave, for only one…

- Phase 1: Also known as the Attack phase. You eat low-fat protein only. And drink a lot of water (coffee, tea and diet sodas or OK too but they have to be zero calories and zero fat). Your protein is likely to come in the form of meat (low-fat beef, chicken, turkey, fish), but there are also dairy possibilities (e.g.…

I agree with the spanx! And just remember to eat on your big day! A good healthy breakfast with protein to keep you going, because you will be super busy, and you don't want to look tired on your pics!
-
I've used onions from the start in my attack as well. They add great flavor, low in calories. I think tomato paste should be fine as well, as long as there is no added sugar. Its just a falvoring anyway. Make sure its paste and not sauce though.

Women should take calcium supps (make sure you buy the type with added magnesium and boron, they help your body absorb the calcium better) Then I take a multi vitamin every day... If you feel tired a lot, take an iron supp. If you have bad skin, focus on zinc as well.

I'm also on day 3 now, I actually struggled to sit down on the loo this morning, my legs are so sore! I've taken before pics... Will evaluate after 30 days and then post the afters! How is your diet while on the 30DS?
-
Sounds like a knock off of the Dukan diet... Just a quicker version.
-
Ok, I know the Dukan diet gets a lot of slack, but it works for me so far... After doing the diet and all the phases, you get to maintenance, where you eat normal (healthy) and one set day a week you do a pure protein day. Like every Thursday, you stick to only proteins! Plus, always oatbran in the morning to keep you…

Need to lose 20 lb on the dot to reach my goal... And I need to lose it by August! Add me if you need support, i'm on MFP everyday!
-
I have now been on Dukan for 4 weeks... And I feel great! My blood pressure is normal again, I am not tired the whole time. And I am never hungry! I've lost 4.5 kg's so far, (about 10lb). I now alternate between the veg and protein and pure protein days. I need to lose another 10 kg's. The diet is not that hard at all. I…

I'm in... Will even grin and bear it as the hubster takes a before pic... Feel free to add me, I know I can do with the support! Are we doing consecutive days?

Take out the seeds, fill it with goodies, bake, slice, enjoy! What pumpkin is it? What I normally do with: Gem Squash, fill with left over minced meat (minced beef with garlic, tomato etc like a beef sauce.) Or butternut squash, I fry onions, like it lean bacon, garlic, peppers, then take out the pips and fill with all the…

Eat less salt, walk 60 minutes a day, drink 3 liters of water, and stick to proteins... I'm a Dukan diet fan...
-
I do mini office workouts as well... Firstly, I drink lots of water, so I have to get up from my desk a lot... When I get to the bathroom, I do 10 quick wall push ups... I know it sounds lame, but if you go to the bathroom about 5 to 8 times, that really ads up... Then I also do leg lifts while sitting at my desk, works…

I'm on the Dukan diet, and have never felt better. Carb free for 3 weeks now, not tired anymore, my blood pressure is returning to normal for the first time in ages... and I actually fit into my clothes again. I did the protein only for 4 days, and now alternate between one day only protein (loads of meat, eggs, yogurt,…

HW - 80 Kg (176.4 lb) CW - 74.5 Kg (164.25 lb) SW - 79 Kg (174.17 lb) GW - 66 Kg (145.5 lb) So round about 18 - 20 lb to go!
-
SW: 79 Kg's CW: 75 Kg's TL: 4Kg's On day 8 and I am so happy with the diet... a Lot easier since I started adding veggies... didnt expect this big a loss so quickly... My mom is starting the Dukan as well next week, so excited for her!

Instead of having a cheat day, why not just choose one cheat meal that you really want? Also, if you want to jump start, maybe up your exercise to include weights as well? I followe the Dukan diet and I do a protein day every week where I eat nothing but lean meat / fish / chicken for the whole day.
-
Have you though of the Dukan Diet? I'm on it and it is not easy, but I feel good. You can eat as much as you want, and it is a program that basically re-introduces your eating habbits from the basics of only protein, then adding vegetables, then after a couple of weeks (depending on how much you've lost) you start…

Wow... You ladies look great... Just a question though for qtiekiki, normal or cesarean? Because with the latter, your muscles are cut as apposed to normal where there are stretched?
-
Sorry, I replied before I could reply on the quote :-) I agree, you don't need gym to do resistance. Push ups, squats, lunges, jumping jacks... some of the best exercises in the world, done in the comfort of your own home! Well done on the loss so far though, you are a real inspiration.
