  • Awesome job everyone!
  • [IMGhttp://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e35/amaitland90/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20131205_162020_zps7b14ad51.jpg[/IMG] can't get mine to show up!
  • You're beautiful and have done such an awesome job!! Way to go!!!!
  • Lately, my calories range daily, anywhere from 600-1400. Depends on how hungry I am, and if I worked out or not. I was about 40lbs heavier when I was diagnosed with it, so I can imagine how much I was eating then! Now however, with my workouts being less intense and having a sedentary job, I don't really eat as much.…
  • I did have a strenuous/intense exercise routine for years! And I loved it ! Things just progressively got worse, and I haven't been able to do that anymore.
  • My physician recommended these amounts. I haven't been taking this higher dosage long. Less than a month. After taking the suggested doses for so long, and no change, that's when I was told to try taking a little more. I'm glad you got your issue resolved though! That's partially why I'm nervous about doctors and such!
  • I'm very happy that exercising is helping you! However it's opposite or me. Exercising always made me even more tired. I always pushed myself to do it because I knew I needed it. Even with arthritis, I still pushed myself to run... until I did a 10k last year, and it took a whole week for my body to feel normal. The pain…
  • I appreciate all of the input and suggestions! I'm not one to take lots of "pills" though. After slowly incorporating different vitamins into my routine, here is where I am since the beginning of this year. I take BC, multivitamin, D3 (3 times daily- started at 2 times daily), Magnesium, 10,000 mcg B12 (started with…
  • I'm 5'7", and small frame. As far as calories go... I am thinking that's what happened. That I ate too little when I originally lost most of it. My job is sitting at a desk 8-5. I do at least 30 minutes of working out a day. See I never had a huge appetite. I consumed 1200 during my 50 lb loss. I was comfortable with that,…
  • I know it doesn't seem to make sense... that is why I decided to post about it. I feel like no matter what I do, it never adds up! I get really discouraged and want to quit.. - I calculate my food - I underestimate my calorie burns - I workout everyday or at least 6 days a week I don't know what to do :ohwell:
  • I measure and weigh everything. I'm totally a stickler on that, and it gets on my husbands nerves
  • I have it opened! As far as medication, I'm only on bc. Even on that note, that's caused me to only have one menstrual cycle in the last 5 months.
  • I weigh and measure my food! As far as working out I usually try to under estimate my calories. For example, the elliptical's calorie burn that it gives me.. I usually subtract at least 100-150 from what it gives. A family member mentioned a possible thyroid issue? Is that a possibility? I can gain really easy, but losing…
  • I can exercise! They just cut out my regular routine which was jogging/plyometric workouts. I walk, swim, and do the elliptical 5 days a week (try to). I also suffer from severe fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis as well.
  • You go girl!!! Awesome progress. Keep up the good work and keep taking care of yourself. You're beautiful, and you have every right to be proud. Best of luck on the rest of your journey!!! :flowerforyou:
  • You can get them at almost any GNC or you can order from GNC's site in bulk too! And Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is my favorite too ! I also like the Strawberry Cheesecake. Delish!
  • Hate to say this, but, that post is a little ridic. What she's saying is yeah, it'll get annoying that they eat like that. BUT it's not a reason for you to resent them, or get upset with them. IT'S THEIR BODY. As yours is your body. You do what you want, they do what they want. Shoot, my husband is Italian, 6'0", almost…
  • I guess it's more of a piece of equipment. This is a link to one very similar to mine. The addition to this, is where the preacher curl piece is, it can interchange with a pulldown bar piece. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Marcy-Classic-MCB-252-Combo-Bench-with-120-lb-Weight-Set/15571383 I have about 300 lbs worth of weights. I…
  • Oh I know it's mostly diet! I have been on the regimen that you guys gave me for almost 3 weeks and I'm down 5 lbs! Hopefully I will see a difference soon. I just wasn't sure if being unable to lift heavier than I am, will hold me back? I usually do at least 45min to an hour of weights, 3-4 days a week. I am in the process…
  • I have a brace, but even then it is still weak. I snapped both bones at two places at the base of my wrist, and another clean break a little further up near my elbow. Which I guess explains the locking up. I have a hard time increasing the weight because the right side, I can increase a lot quicker, but I have to keep…
  • I lift at home. I have some gym equipment, including barbells. When I do chest presses with a barbell, I'm always off balance and have to really push my left arm up. It still locks on me though. :ohwell:
  • BUMP! I have a question! Do to a bad wrist break a few years back, and being small framed.. my left wrist is weaker than my right. When I try to do chest presses or curls it's hard for me to get my weight up on that side without my arm locking up and causing slight pain in the joint area. Any suggestions on how to work…
  • Thanks so much! I don't go to a gym, but thankfully I have some equipment in the one at my work. However, my left wrist is weak due to bad break I had a while back. Snapped in three spots. Plus I struggle with arthritis. So I struggle with some weights on that arm, my chest presses feel unbalanced, and I'm afraid to try…
  • I'm 5'7" ... well 5'6.5"... but who cares! lol. I started out at 181-185ish. Lost 45 lbs and my lowest weight was 139. I like to say that because it was my only time ever being in the 130's! I started lifting because I wanted to tone up. I lost all my LBM and was skinny fat. Which is no bueno! While lifting, I started out…
  • Thank you! I guess I should have waited until today to officially check-in. I'm down 1.6 lbs since Friday! So close to 5 lbs in two weeks. I changed my exercise routine a bit and just walked/lightly jogged this weekend. I feel like it helped my joints a little bit, and I feel like I wasn't super achey afterwards. I may…
  • Hi! I know I'm supposed to check in on Monday, but I was having some questions/issues. My averages: Calories : 1276 Carbs : 101 Protein : 121 Fat: 43 Weight: 161-158 (down 3 lbs the first week) No inches lost. I haven't lost any this second week. Is it possible that it was just water weight? I'm still lifting the same and…
  • Let's keep it simple! 1. Fruit is healthy, nutritious, and filling. Donuts/cookies etc. are not healthy/nutritional, but only filling. 2. Part of the reason some of the healthiest places in the world are considered "the healthiest places in the world" is because of their local fruit/vegetables (no pesticides) and whole…
