I use 5s or 8s depending on the move. I hate when the ladies in the video use 3s. Really? 3s? C'mon! They are all so buff!

Slowly use less and less creamer until you put none in it at all. You'll learn to love black coffee.

I either have a protein shake, oatmeal, or an omelet. If you have trouble eating breakfast, try a protein shake.

I think that's the point. I sweat a lot more during the strength workouts than the cardio. But I hear cardio 2 is insane, so that may change :)

I have two scales as well. I put two 8 pound weights on each of them to see what they said and went with the most accurate. Now I only use that scale.

I eat oatmeal most days for breakfast. It keeps me full longer than eggs do.

I cheat day sounds bad... try a cheat meal instead. And even in your cheat meal, don't go overboard (like downing a large pizza). On days where I allow myself a cheat meal, I exercise to make up those extra calories.

I've substituted cardio dvd 1 with other cardio b/c after 2 weeks of that video, I got bored. I tried cardio 2... so hard! There is no rest! But running for 30 min straight is probably better than cardio 1.

It is just doing a harder modification of the moves (like adding weights or jumps or doing the moves more quickly).

I think there is plenty of ab work. Most moves in the strength training discs engage your abs. But if you want to add more, good for you!

I started at 190, so I have a lot to lose! My goal is to lose around 30 pounds with the 90 day program and maybe another 10-20 after that. I'll probably rotate through all the dvds (each day doing a different disc) after the 90 days because I love the workouts SO MUCH!

I smoked for 5 years and quit 3 years ago. I had chronic bronchitis, so I really needed to quit. I started out with a rule that I could not smoke in the car. Surrenders are when you put your hands over your head (with weights) and get down on your knees then pull yourself back up, all with your hands above your head.

The crab is the WORST! Not happy to hear that it is coming back for workout 5. I hate surrenders. I hope those are gone after these two weeks!

I feel that 30DS is easier than NMTZ. Ripped in 30 is much better and may be more difficult (at least workouts 3 and 4 are).

I started on a Thursday because I can't workout on Wednesdays (so I made that my rest day). Do whatever works best for your schedule.

There are 3 circuits in 30DS and and 7 in NMTZ. 30DS has cardio intervals whereas NMTZ does not. If you want to add cardio get "Banish fat, Boost metabolism" I do 3 circuits from that and 3 from NMTZ on days where I want a balance of cardio and strength but want to workout longer than in 30DS.
