  • Buy a pair of black dress slacks, and if you can wear them a pair of black capris and a pair of kaki capris. You can pair all three with a ton of different tops. And tops that are a big, especially button ups can be continued to be worn as a open top with a cami, can still be pulled off fashionably. Just make sure that the…
  • As far as the toes, i would look I to new shoes. Average life span of a good athletic is 300 - 500 miles, before it is broken down and not providing the support it is designed to.
  • I just started again, the 100 squats app that works you up to be able to 100 in a row. In the app I've only done 4 at the most in a set for a total of 10 in the whole trainng session - but can do more than that both weighted and not. Just wanted to add a new exercise that is quick, burns a few more calories, and challenge…
  • If I could get away with it, I would be outside shirtless, and bottomless.
  • I'm the same way. I love to cook, but don't want to go all out just for myself. I'm getting better at cooking more often, but still go out quite a bit, I just make health(ier) decisions and count my calories. And I have lost almost 60lbs from my heaviest!

  • I use it. Feel free to add me....HWeatherholt
  • I've found blue bunny has single serve ice cream in a few really good favors. They are around 250 calories or so. And my local grocery store will put them on sale for 10 for $10. When they do I stock up so I can have my ice cream and eat it too - not having to worry about eating the whole pint (or measuring a…
  • I have been doing NROLFW since February. When I started I was about 210. It took me a little while to get comfortable and I still try to go at not so busy times (but I want to get in and out) and will still pick the farthest bench away I can. But it has gotten easier. I have met some other regulars and have conversations…
  • I would love to do it someday, but since I still can't completely run a 5k and even if I could I would have a hard time finding the money.
  • I can do 2 sets of 10 with my body weight of 185 plus 90 pounds of barbell weights.
  • ^^ This! Although I wouldn't normally carry cash with me -- haven't really had much reason to since I don't typically run places where I would need it and once I get back in my car I would have my debit card with me. The last time I needed cash when I did a 5K where I thought I might want to buy something from a vendor or…
  • I personally try to carry as few things as possible, regardless of weather I am working out inside or out. But, I have been trying to find something myself to make it a little easier to carry my keys and my id for when I run outside. I have found something called flipbelt that looks pretty cool. Saw it last year as a vedor…
  • I put them in mfp before I go to the gym, and then look at that. If I can't remember the moves - today I'll have that happen since I'm starting a new stage in the plan I'm doing - i might google it on my phone and watch a video, I've also taken the book I'm following in to the gym. I have also had an app called JeFit, but…
  • I found a protien bar at sports authority that tastes like nutty bars, a little drier but not bad.
  • Ding Dongs have not been the same since they quit wrapping them in foil and started putting them in plastic.
  • Not quite the same thing, but when my grandma was living with us - advance stages of alzemierz/deminta, and in her 80s, she wouldn't remember what she ate 5 minutes before, even if we were still sitting at the dinner table and everyone else still had food on their plates and/or still in serving bowls. We got to the point…
  • I got calipers on amazon for pretty cheap -- needed them for a personal training class I was taking -- we learned how to use them and do the calculations and had to practice on ourselves and our classmates. I always felt uncomfortable and unsure of if I was doing it right. I have had a scale that calculates bf for a long…

  • It's like that old brain teaser...which weighs more a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers...a pound is a pound is a pound...it's how much room they take up.
  • I am doing New a Rules of Lifting for Women.
  • Could be a lot of reasons but most likely it is your muscles holding on to water and other fluids to help with the rebuilding process.
  • I had a polar HRM/watch but when it started acting goofy, I bought just the new HRM that works with Bluetooth and connect it to the polar app on my iphone.
  • I have mine set as 12am - 4am 4am - 8am 8am - 12p 12p - 4p 4p - 8p 8p - 12am I did this in part because my work schedule is kinda odd and I will sleep late, eat breakfast at 10a and then may or may not eat lunch at work. I also wanted to see when I eat the most often, when I'm having midnight snacks etc. Although I will…
  • This is how many ounces in total you need. Some of this comes from food sources. But if you work out, it is really hot, etc, you need more.
  • Drinking to much water can be harmful. It can cause something called water intoxication, and can cause death. But a gallon most likely won't hurt you. http://health.howstuffworks.com/diseases-conditions/death-dying/water-intoxication.htm
  • Depending on when it started, there may be an update. Apple did an update not that long ago (since the first of the year) and then just within yes last few days. And usually when they do an update the app developers put out an update.
  • It all depends on you, the shoe, etc. but the rule I've always heard I'd 300 to 500 miles before it is broken down and not providing the support it is designed to. But, if the outside still looks good, has tread, etc., you can replace the insole to extend the life.
  • I push myself hard on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, doing the arc trainer, c25k, and strength training. use Tuesday and Thursday as a semi rest day. I still go to the gym but I see how long I can run (up to 4 minutes so far) and then deduct twice that from a leisurely hour walk. I don't go to the gym on the weekends but I…
  • I have it. I can't remember where I got it though. It doesn't really have worksheets, but does go into really good detail about the plan, includes some why and lots of how. Has the plan outlined pretty well. Does have a page that you can copy to use as your log. There is a group on mfp for it, and you can download the…
