HOT DAMN! Congratulations! I can't wait until the day I can say the same thing!

Before I started running, I wish someone had impressed upon me the importance of stretching, especially my calves. So, don't forget to stretch!! Happy running!

Couch to 5k is what got me running again!

Congratulations on taking that first important step! It won't be easy, but we'll be here to support you. (sending you a friend request)

I had that same thing happen to me once! Too bad about the dress, but YAY for the weight loss!!

Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm 37, no kids, and (after losing 35 lbs) I have 55 to go! I'd love another soul to help motivate me & to motivate back. I am following Dr. Fuhrman's recommendations for healthy eating, and this first 35 lbs has just melted off. Feel free to send me a friend request!

WOW!

That is the answer. She knows she's put on weight, just encourage healthy habits - eating healthy, etc. & train for the tri with her.

My friend puts her daughter on a leash because she has a condition that causes her arm to slip out of socket easily. One trip or excited pull while holding mommy's hand results in a trip to the ER, and her holding a screaming child while the doc fixes it. I'd say a leash is more humane.

I suffered with PF for over 2 years, before I went to an Airrosti practitioner - it's similar to active release. I think any form of deep tissue manipulation would be helpful. They gave me some physical therapy to do at home - rolling my calves on a hard roller (I used a 4" diameter piece of pvc pipe; so cheap!), rolling…

Wow! Great job!

Fantastic transformation!

I second the recommendation to check out Dr. Fuhrman, especially if you're anemic. Leafy greens are great sources of iron!

I met the love of my life on (Friday) Oct 13, 2006, at a superstition-themed party. He was (is) covered in tattoos, holding a bottle of Bushmill's, and had just rolled sushi for the party. I was smitten, but ran off like Cinderella before he could get my number. Nearly 6 years later, I still love him like crazy! Oh, and…

I would not be a runner, if not for C25K. Now, I'm an addict - lurking outside running stores, trying to get someone to buy me a shoe... night sweats and shakes when I don't get my fix... just kidding! (kind of...)

Someone recently told me to breathe deeply into my belly when that happens, and it has helped. That article confirms it!

Adipose tissue (fat) holds on to hormones (estrogen!). When you start fluctuating the fat in your body, you fluctuate your hormone levels. It should even out over time, but you might experience some weirdness here and there the whole time you're losing weight.

I *love* seeing all the progress pics! I can't wait until I have some to post!

If the pods are small enough to not be woody, you can eat them raw. If you don't mind the slime, you can steam them. They are really good sauteed with onion and tomato. Gumbo!

That's good to know. I'm struggling to eat over 1600, and that's just my BMR. Hopefully, I'll be hungrier soon!

Morning. It's only 100*, instead of 150*.

I've never even heard of a wedding gift opening party. It sounds like a super lame way to spend your time.

P.S. Wear. Your. Helmet.

I love my biiiiiiicycle!

Guilty as charged!

I work on a hospital floor, so I don't have a desk, but I hoard (in my locker) dry erase markers like they're cigarettes in a prison. That **** can buy you favors on my floor...

Do it. The science behind it is sound. You won't regret it! The biggest problem with eating too few calories (aside from going stark raving bonkers due to hunger pangs) is that you're training your body to have a slower metabolism so that it can exist on a lower calorie intake. That will surely bite you in the *kitten*…

I'll be happy to kick you in the rear, if you promise to do the same for me! I'll send you a friend request!
