Why do you want to lose 18lbs in 4 weeks? Even if you exercise and eat way less than your BMR, you wouldn't be able to lose that much especially you are only at 133lbs. 0.5-1 lb / week is a little bit more realistic.

I WANT NACHOS!!!!!!

You are most likely losing muscle mass with the amount of calorie you are eating. Find out what's your BMR and TDEE is and eat between them. If you want to tone, add strength training in your work out.

Where can I get some?
-
Base on your information, your BMR should be 1600. And you are only taking in 1200-1400, try eating back your exercise calories or get as close to 1600 as you can. The deficiency you want is from TDEE not BMR. :)
-
I suggest stay with your BMR and eat back the exercise calories if you don't know how much you should eat.

Mmm...... I live in California and go to Asian/Chinese supermarket..... Fresh fruit/veggies and meat are cheaper than junk food. 1lb of chicken costs the same as 1 bag of the smallest potato chip in the store. But I think it could be because most junk food in Asian supermarkets are imported. >_>

O dear..... Since most farm animals eat green veggies too, does it mean I have to cut them out to be safe?
-
^ people in third world country who are constantly eating way less than their BMR.
-
Ahhh...... So is this the same as can your body tell the difference between eating back calories from exercise and eating calories above TDEE? I wonder how people become over weight then. What the hell is metabolism?

Here is an article on coma. Read what cause coma and the side effects. These people are on usually on life support to keep their body alive.... For me, that means the body is not functioning correctly. And I am just using coma as an extreme case. http://www.columbianeuroicu.org/patient-information.html

BMR is what your body needs if you are at bed rest / coma. Do know what happen to people's muscle / organs when they are at bed rest or coma for an extended period of time? TDEE is the number of calories you burn when you are moving around. If you stay in bed the whole day but get up and pee, then your calories burn is…

What's your age, height and weight? Lets see if 1200 calories are enough for you. :)
-
Just wondering what's your BMR at? The 1200 calories is set by MFP or a doctor? If you are still hungry, it means 1200 calories is too less for you. You want to eat -20% of your TDEE. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Sweets! Must satisfy those sweet cravings!!!!!!! My jar of Nutella calls out to me.

Try calculating your BMR first. 1200 calories/day is not a magic number for weight loss. Once you figure out what's your BMR is, you should eat at that and if you exercise, just eat back the calories. http://www.livestrong.com/article/98116-calculate-basal-metabolic-rate/ But for me, it's better to know what's your TDEE is…

If you are worry about over eating and under calculating calories burn, then maybe just stick with 1200 calories but eat back the exercise calories. It wouldn't help your lean muscle (toning) if you are eating less than your BMR while you are doing strength training.

You are doing great losing those weight, keep up the good work. I do have some questions 1) are you deducing your calories from your BMR or TDEE? BMR is the amount you should be at least eating to maintain life. You should be eating 20% off TDEE. 2) are you mixing up your exercises? Do you know if you are calculating your…

I gave up hope of ever getting boobs.

Good luck on your journey, this may be a good read for those that are just upping their calories. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/521728-upping-cals-what-to-expect-why-you-need-patience

Can someone please explain to me...... OP actually UP her calories intake to lose weight, so does it means that when she was eating LOWER than that, she was gaining weight?

Everyone has the same 24hours/day. And I am sure time doesn't tell me what to eat and not eat. I can't tell you what to do either. It's your life and still your choice to do what you want. But your statement is blaming "time", so you can't be healthy. Unless you decide that YOU are the one in control of your life and not…
-
This is a sad statement..... Time doesn't make you chose to eat unhealthy/health. You make the choice. As for the income, I don't know about you but I see people who are willing to give up choosing healthy for the luxury of life (such as smartphone, better cars, tv, etc) or they are more than willing to spend the money for…

Are you breastfeeding? If you are, then you should be eating more than 1200 cal/day. If you want to lose baby weight, eat less than TDEE.
-
http://www.livestrong.com/article/916-eat-healthier-doing-little-math/ I don't know how tall, age and weight of the OP, but try to see what's your BMR is and shouldn't be eating under that especially since you are exercising. Remember BMR is what your body requires to maintain life (not even whole body functions) and even…

There is a class in my gym where all you do is lifting, 90% are women. Even there are more women going into the weights room now. Women are not scare of weights.

I was very excited to come in to this post and see your success story but when you start it with "there has been alot of 1200 calories basher...", the tone sounds a bit negative to me. Your sucess story is yours, no need to bring that in. But still, congrats on your success.

This is a great post. Weight loss journey is different for everyone, 1200 calories/day might work for some but might not work for most (which is majority of the population). It's really up to the person to find their "right" calories to ensure a healthy lifestyle. I actually went to see the 1200, and why it won't work post…

I understand that. The OP chooses light activities (1-3 days of activities) as his TDEE, but if you look at what he is planning to do which is 3 days strength and 2 days cardio plus racquetball for an hour then he should eat back some calories. However, if he chooses modern activities as his TDEE, then he shouldn't be…
