Ohh, sorry I went on for so long.

Friends is a good thing. Everyone needs them. Over the past 4 years, I initially lost almost 35 lbs., and maintained for over a year. Then gained 10 back due to a long health issue. Then lost that and more, and maintained over 8 months. Then gained 5 - 8, 6 months ago, now struggling to loose it. But I never stop working…

I was looking at page one and didn't realize I'd be posting to page 246. Definitely start with that kiss...

Can't tell who's above me, but most likely kiss and see the reaction

Sounds like PF is the choice. Just have to make sure you go after work, or maybe even get up early and go before work? LA Fitness doesn't seem to be doing it for you now. The newness of PF might inspire you.

I try to take it before my meds in the morning, and the I try to get at least one if not 2 readings spread through the day I want to see how bad things are before my meds kick in. I also want to see how my day and it's stresses affect my readings. And if I work out I'd like to see if that has a positive effect.

Nerds unite! I'm a fellow IT'er. Not a gamer, hope that doesn't disqualify me hehehe I've have never been a runner, always hated running, but somehow I'm in a Couch to 5K program with the 5K happening on November 2, only 5 weeks away - eek! I'm determined to finish the race Got a charge out of the image on the ops weight…

I want to give you some encouragement. I worked out for a little over a year and watched what I ate. I lost about 20 pounds, and I worked out (like treadmill running) 3 or 4 times a week. At my next doctors appointment, I had one HT med reduced and the other removed. I was even able to reduce my cholesterol med So yes, it…

Good for you and great inspiration for the rest of us I'm hoping that together (all in this group) we can motivate, encourage, and support one another to do what we all know we need to do.

Hi I just joined this group. I was (maybe still am sometimes) in the same situation in that I didn't care that I was overweight, had both high blood pressure and cholesterol. So of course I kept getting worse. Using MFP and working out some I eventually lost some weight, so the doc reduced my meds (Yipee!) But then I got…

Wow that is amazing progress. It's too bad when the ones around us don't provide the support they should. Try to stay positive and find support elsewhere (like here on MFP).

We really appreciate you sharing this information with us.

Ooh sounds so yummy, and low cal too! Awesome. I'm not familiar with shirataki noodles, but I'm always willing to try new things.

Thanks for the suggestion about the heart monitor. Any suggestions for what feels comfortable, is easy to use, and works?

Sounds tasty. Unfortunately I've found that tequila does not agree with me. Still I might try it just to see, cause I do like the taste of Margaritas

Before I started to change my habits I would have a drink on the weekend and wine or beer with dinner 2 or 3 times during the week. Once I decided to "get healthy" I cut it out. After 3 or 4 weeks I noticed I felt deprived. It's never good to feel deprived, it makes you focus too much on that which you are missing. So now…

Love the view - wish I were there. I'll add ya - I can always use encouragement too

Thanks for the encouragement

My thoughts exactly. If I'm doing strength training exercises, I know I'm burning more calories than sitting. But I can't find any calculators that can help me calculate the calories burned. So thanks for asking this question.
