I think we need a MFP craft beer meetup. Hatred of Miller Lite, bringing MFP together since 2013.

Just quoted because yum...

This is a good link if you don't want machines or have a gym membership http://www.fitnessscrolls.com/top-15-bodyweight-and-freeweight-exercises-for-all-muscle-groups/

I should have said this from the beginning. I think this site is full of people who are way too serious and literal!
-
Hilarious! It seems like some days on MFP are "we had kids young now we're all out of shape" 29 no kids.

That's the point that I made, though. Your calorie-dense chocolate bar isn't satisfying whereas your big salad is. You decide what to eat for your calories. For example, as a test, if you only ate 1,200 calories of chocolate bars each day you'd still lose weight. I see so many people on this site only wanting to lose…

I wasn't serious with the Miller Lite argument, it was just an example. Sheesh you people are picky! :)

Right after work - starting about 5:30 or 6 PM. On the weekend I do it Saturday morning about 10 AM.

None of them in my town look like that!

I always put in exercise calories lower than what my HRM says I burned and I always put in higher food calories if it's not scannable by my phone.
-
second this. i don't understand how women are shy? just look at a guy long enough and he'll be yours.
-
creeper alert... pics?!
-
I don't get the uproar. Why would you want to wear their clothes if they don't want you? Seems counter-intuitive.
-
It's impossible to change people's opinions with facts. Pretty much any much unsolicited advice is cringe-worthy.
-
I enter every strength workout as cardio. Just log the name and the calories.

It sounds like there are other issues at play here? Your job to cook? I understand gender roles but it sounds like all he wants from you is food and bedtime fun. If he's really wanting to change he'll have to do it himself. You can't force him to change. I changed when I saw how fat I had become in a picture. Show him a…

you can always "enhance" that area if you are that self-conscience about it.
-
Good topic. If you look at my profile pictures, I was actually told I looked "more manly" when I was fatter. Not sure if that helps you but perhaps there are different standards for men vs. women in regards to size.

You don't know how badly I want to call people out for their BS behavior. If I didn't want any friends I would, but it would feel so good to tell people how lazy they are and that 15 minutes on the elliptical at 2 mph followed by 4 beers and a pizza isn't "a tough workout day"..

We constantly seek improvement. That's why my 15 pound weight loss goal became 20. Then my 20 pound weight loss became lower BF percentage. Than that became increase strength. It's good to want to keep improving.

People try everything and then make excuses or give up because they find out it will actually mean real work. I know a girl that said she'd run with me but decided against it because "it takes too long to dry my hair after a shower". That's your reason for not exercising?!!? My thought is I'll continue to work out and get…

A few weeks until the Cayman Islands for our fifth anniversary.

My wife and I did P90x and P90x2. We didn't follow the diet plan but we both did get stronger throughout the program. Don't expect huge muscles as p90x is to get in better shape; not to become a huge meathead. I have a picture on my profile of me before p90x and me after. i'm not "ripped" afterwards but definitely in far…

I haven't had a smoke since 12/31/10 and since then lost 20 pounds of fat and gained a lot in muscle. It's possible!!
-
That's cool. Shows BMI and pounds, while related, aren't necessarily locked to each other.
-
Perfect example of another excuse. Who cares about lobbying. Lobbyists don't force McDonald's down your throat.
-
I used to run everyday and got nowhere. Then I started watching what I ate and the pounds dropped off, even with no running! Diet is 90% of your weight.
-
Not to get too personal, but what price range are we talking about here?
-
solution: don't talk to men. in a man's mind talking = flirting.
-
we're lazy. (we're as in most - not us on MFP). we make excuses for everything? fat? mcdonald's fault. broke? wall street's fault. kids ungrateful? tv's fault. stupid? school's fault. you get the point.
