I have nothing but love for PF. When I was 285, PF was the gym I joined in order to get moving again. 125 pounds later, I don't regret that choice. :D

Broscience. I've had protein shakes before, after, during and even when I didn't workout and I still had no problem losing. If it fits in your calorie goals, you will have no problems. :)

Is your profile picture a picture of yourself? Is it current? If so, it doesn't look as if you need to lose weight, especially 22 pounds. :)

I tend to stay away from diets that limits foods that are suppose to be good for you, like fruits.

I had sleep apnea, snored like crazy, high blood pressure, achy knees, etc. All of it gone now. :D

I worked in a prison as a CO. Trust me, all these guys did was eat and work out. We had inmates who were 200-250 pounds of pure muscle, and CO's who were 250-350 pounds of pure fat. Good thing these guys decided to behave 99% of the time.

He had a lot to lose, being over 400 pounds, him losing that much in a year isn't so drastic.

If you log your food faithfully, exercise, etc., you should lose. You don't have to do this 17 day diet, unless you really want to.
