  • I can't eat beef, sets off an RA flare within 2 days, some pork also, I eat very little meat. I also can not tolerate raw tomato: cooked I can sometimes do, but raw, sometimes just the smell, will make me vomit.
  • I agree with Kimber, there are some days that the only thing that gets me to workout is knowing how good it feels afterwards! That, and how guilty I will feel if I waste that time sitting on my rear. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but just power through it. Eventually it becomes a habit you don't want to do…
  • I just started (for the 3rd time) yesterday. My plan is to do Monday-Friday, skip weekends, 2 weeks per level. Add me as a friend if you like, I will motivate all I can, and can use a bit too.
  • Congratulations on being so very brutally honest with yourself! I have found that to be the ONLY way I can have any success in this journey. I am (hopefully) about half way through my loss, but I am having a tough time right now. I have been heavy my entire life, minus a brief period in college where I was too poor to eat!…
  • Yes, I would like to join. Please send details.
  • Like most posts have said, as a diet plan, it probably is not the best idea. I use the powder as a base for a meal replacement shake, but I add fruit and other "things" to it to make it more fun. Not much different than making a shake from a protein powder, effort wise, much different nutritionally.
  • I was on a cruise 2 weeks ago, and survived the food land mines. I kept my breakfast and lunch very reasonable: oatmeal, boiled egg and fruit for breakfast, salad and fruit for lunch. I splurged at dinner time, but had fish and other seafood for every dinner. It was the unlimited ice cream that brought me down, but you can…
  • It is known!
  • HI, I am new to fitbit, only used for a week, but i have found that if i log it on MFP, not fitbit, it "corrects" the calories burned. Probably not the right word, but it subtracts from my fitbit exercise calories rather than adding to the daily count i get from my regular activity. Hope that makes sense, it is hard to…
  • This^ a lot of weather related excuses!
  • I have always thought of relationships as helping your partner to be the best version of themselves, and I don't see anything like that here. It is scary to end a relationship, face being alone and back in the dating pool, but your self esteem is worth so much more than what you are enduring. I would be proud to have a…
  • Hi Ryan and Sarah, in the same boat here. My friends are tired of hearing about my workouts and diet, and what fabulous new meals I have created. Would like to have some new MFP buddies. Will send a friend request to both of you. Thanks. Bobbi
  • This. My goal weight is in the top of my healthy BMI range, and will be slightly higher than the lowest i have ever weighed as an adult. At my lowest adult weight (which is in the top end of healthy BMI), i thought I looked emaciated and people were always commenting that I was too thin. My plan is to look in the mirror…
  • Thank you for sharing your story and WOW and congrats. Your description of going into the Casual Male XL store is almost word for word how i would describe my shopping trips to Lane Bryant. The comments from bystanders and the stares. Add to my obesity the fact that I am a woman over 6 feet tall, and I stood out like a…
  • Saturday is my cheat day every week. However, since I am not sitting at my desk at work, I also tend to be much more active. When all is said and done at the end of the day, yeah I "cheated", but with all the extra activity, it ends up not being too much over and generally still within my weekly allowance.
  • Hi ladies, so glad to see this board. I am 6' 2" and have no idea where I want my goal weight to land. I was thinking 180, but from all I have read, I might not be setting my goal low enough. However, like many have suggested, I will shoot for 180 and decide. I have 35 lbs to get there, so got some time! I could sure use…
  • Right there with you!! A lot of the time I end up making a protein shake with a banana added, just because it is quick, easy and I already know the calorie count. Look forward to seeing what gets posted on this thread, I need some ideas too.
  • I luv all the cool NSVs! Mine: last night during my work out class, I noticed that my butt didn't "flop" when I was doing jumping jacks! Weird, I know, but it was quite an interesting discovery that i had less jiggle!
  • I haven't been told I was too thin, but when people ask if I plan to lose more weight they have a fit when I say yes, 50 lbs. They proceed to tell me I look great now and don't need to lose more, but I am still in the obese range according to my BMI. Even with 50 more lbs, I would be on the high end of my weight range. I…
  • Because it disproves their hypothesis.
  • Wow crimznrose, you sound like a hard core runner! I have committments already for the 8th and the 1st, and I am NOT up to a half marathon (yet!). But I am interested in a 5k sometime! Please keep me in the loop!
  • Been a while since you posted, but if you are still looking for some Indiana buddies, I am game.
  • I am there too. I fell off the wagon and hit hard. I could really use the motivation myself! I was doing really well, but then got out of my routine and I can't seem to get back on track. Could really use the help, so add me and we can help each other! Can always use more support!
  • I have completed my 10 days of level 1 and timing wise it is time for level 2. BUT, I am still struggling with level one strength. I can make it through if I drop to 2lb weights, but not with my 4lb weights. Should I continue level 1 until I can complete it, or forge on to level 2? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
  • Also for the hummus comment.........I have found it makes a great substitute for mayo on a sandwich. I like the red pepper hummus on a turkey sandwich, really spices up a boring old turkey sammie!
  • HI everyone, my name is Bobbi and I live in Indiana. I am on day 3 of the shred. I have been at a plateau for over a month and I am hoping that the addition of the shred to my routine will get the scales moving again. My biggest motivation.....I show horses, so I think it is only fair that I be in the best shape for…
  • 1. Second Hand Lions 2. Cider House Rules 3. Hope Floats and the list goes on and on...................
  • I am anxiously awaiting more responses to your post, as I am in the same boat. I have all my gym stuff, I go there, but I just lack the desire to get on those machines. Or if I do start a workout, I spend the whole time thinking about what I need to be doing at home and how I am not getting anything "useful" done while I…
  • Hi Sarrah, My name is Bobbi and I would gladly join your support group, I too can use all the help I can get. I have been doing OK on MFP, but my scales have gotten stuck for the past 3 weeks and I am losing motivation rapidly. Please add me to your friends.
