Great job!! That is so awesome! Have you ever thought of trying the Couch to 5K program? That's how I got started with running. It's a great program and easy to follow. Ever thought of running in the weather as it is? They make all kinds of clothing for all kinds of weather. Yak Trax are my best friend on the snowy days!…

AMAZING! You look fantastic!! Check out those guns!

What about biking? MIght be easier on your ankle than running. Or try the elliptical machine? Softer impact. Or swimming! There's LOTS of options!

I think once a day Insanity is enough. What if you did some other form of exercise...talk a walk or hike, go for a bike ride, something that won't be as taxing on your body as Insanity. make sure you're taking your rest days too!

I also use the window approach. I strive to be between 1200-1400 calories each day. (Can't be under 1200 or MPF "yells" at me. :) This method makes complete sense to me! Good Luck!

I have the same issue. More narrow waisted. Fit my waist but skin tight on my thighs...oh genetics... :)

I have 3 - a smiley face on my hip, Chinese Symbol for happiness on the top of my foot and the Hebrew symbols for family on my wrist. The family one is new! Just got it last week! Love it!

I like my greek yogurt with low fat granola mixed in. It's my lunch every day.

It's not silly! That is a great accomplishment! Way to go!

I haven't tried those but I love Veggie Sraws! I buy a big bag at Sam's Club for like $5. Yum! (Although portion control can sometimes tend to be a problem for me so be careful with that!) :)

YIPPEE! Congrats! That's an amazing NSV!
-
Oh - think of all the extra calories you'd earn! Might be worth it! :)
-
Great job on both! Amazing accomplishments!! Are you doing the Bridge to 10K next?
-
Haha! This made me giggle!

I would like to sign up please!

If you have time in the morning or after the kids go to bed - why not pop in a workout DVD? Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred is a good one and a lot of people here use it. I agree that the Wii is a good tool to use but a workout DVD could help you too and you wouldn't have to go anywhere for that either. :) Good luck to you!

I do! I eat Oatmeal every morning for breakfast, string cheese & pretzels for a morning snack, greek yogurt, apple & carrots for lunch. Dinner is really the only meal that varies. I've been doing this for a LONG time and every once in a while, I'll eat something different. Not usually though. :) Good luck to you!

MIne was taken after I ran my first 5K in August 2011. I've since ran a 10K and I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in October! I was not any kind of a runner until I started C25K in April 2011. That was my first major running accomplishment!

I always feel great AFTER a run - because it means I'm done!

I run 4X a week and usually log between 15-20 miles. I started running (using Couch to 5K) about a year ago. I've completed numerous 5K's and my first 10K in May. Training now for a 15K and a 1/2 in October!

If you're having trouble at the 4am point and are reaching for a bar in the vending machine, why not keep stashes of high protein/fiber bars on you instead. There are lots to choose from and it is a better option that the vending machine bar. Drinks LOTS of water - try it with lemon! Some other higher protein options -…

6 months to train is attainable! You got this! Make sure you incorporate both strength training and cardio into your workout routine. Start slow and build up gradually. No injuries! :) And then in 20 years people will say that YOU are the "perfect endorsement of elderly physical fitness". Good Luck!

I try not to eat back all exercise calories. When I do - I don't lose. :( I try to only eat back 1/2. That way I'm still keeping a caloric deficit.
-
I'm 1200! Feel free to add me as well!
-
THIS! I know people who constantly do that to me!

I started C25K a year ago in April. The first couple of days were the WORST! Running for 30 seconds or a minute? Tough! But I stuck to it - walked if I really needed it, repeated days...repeated weeks but kept pushing. I ran my first 5K in August (in 29.46!) and I'm prepped and ready to run my first 10K on Saturday! I am…

I started the Couch to 5K program a year ago. I was NOT a runner before that. Just the thought of it at that point made me groan! I sucessfully completed it and ran my first 5K in August. I'm gearing up for my first 10K in 2 weeks! This program is easy to follow and gives you a good plan to start from point 0 (Like Me!).…
