  • Welcome! Fruit is the good kind of sugar and it has a lot of fiber. Kudos for eating a lot - I would wait for your first weigh in to gauge how you did. If you see a weight loss then the sugar shouldn't be an issue. How are you with vegetables? feel free to add me - we can help motivate

  • It's the hardest thing I have ever done in my life! I'm still trying and it's been 19 years. I get within 2lbs and then I blow it and gain it all back! I'm hoping I can make it this time
  • You can play ball with the young ones. When my girls were small they loved playing with Mom....duck, duck, goose; ring around the Rosie, four square, hopskoch or playing chase. This way everyone has fun and it's a workout too. Even your 10 year old can join the fun

  • Don't give up and don't beat yourself up. You can do it - just take small steps. Try and set a small goal each day.....let's say get 8-10 glasses of water in a day....next day walk one more block than you usually do .....next day - cook at home. Every small goal and you wind up making big changes over time. Hope this helps…

  • I know the feeling. I just read an article that said when you need the Milkshake, Chocolate etc...hold off and tell yourself you will eat it in 30 minutes. In those 30 minutes, go for a walk, call a friend, go shopping anything other than eating.....and then in 30 minutes, you won't even want the food any longer. Hang in…

  • BOBmama - how do you get 35g of fiber all in one day? What are you eating. I think the most I was able to get in was 25, but I think I am way lower on most days. Have you noticed a difference upping your fiber?
  • I love the Dulce Doleche one. I've tried all the flavors and they are all great. Especially when everyone at your house is eating ice cream, you can enduldge a little too and not feel deprived.

  • Vickielu - your comments are great thanks for the help. Let me know how you do with your goals. I'm going to think about what goals I can set for myself - I was never good and setting goals and keeping them, so I think I just didn't set any. Time for change.
