  • Egg Salad - chopped hardboiled eggs, light mayo (or could use fat free, plain greek yogurt), chopped white onion and chopped celery. Adjust amounts of everything to your liking and season with salt and pepper. High protein, low fat.

  • I just made this on Saturday! It's excellent. I cooked on low for 6 hours and the meat just fell apart. Serve in whole wheat pitas or on low cal rolls. Yum!
  • Try any of the "Hungry Girl" books. They don't have a ton of pictures but the recipes are super quick, easy and very tasty!
  • Congrats on taking the first (and sometimes hardest) step! I found that if I logged my food for the day in advance (say the night before) it kept me on track.   • Protein is what builds lean muscle mass so if you are exercising as well as watching what you eat, going over on your protein is actually a good thing (in moderation).
  • If you have a Wii, I recommend the Jillian Michaels "game". It's a killer workout but not impossible to do. Very motivating and no doubt you can feel it working your muscles. Keeps a nice pace no matter how long of a workout and what skill level you choose. It also has a tracking system for your progress and weight.
  • Try Fiber One Chewy Bars. They come in awesome flavors (I had a chocolate mocha one today - yum!). They taste much more decadent than they are and can be a great snack or even a substitute for dessert! Plus they provide about 30% of your daily fiber intake which is key to weight loss.
