  • I've tried Healthé Trim and am now on Fireball Liqui-fusion. I was VERY successful with Healthé Trim and lost 30lbs using it. I never experienced jitters/anxiety/ or any other side effect. I have had no health problems since taking it. As with all fat burner/diet pills (and as mentioned on the bottle), you start off with…
  • If I'm running, usually turn on a movie or watch a show I missed online...or turn on the tv--some kind of visual distraction that'll suck me into the drama. If I'm lifting--usually cursing Jillian Michael's out in my head (I INFINITELY LOATHE strength training, but know it's a necessary means to my goal weight end, hence…
  • Should be finishing up my workout, but after work I crawled into bed to try to take a nap. I have to leave for Bible Study soon & now will be TRYING to get my workout in after it...gonna be SOO tough. Rainy days make me soon tired.
  • My shopping lists usually includes oatmeal, meats, fresh -frozen veggies, fruits, and yogurt (greek and yoplait light)
  • Awesome job! I remember the day I ran for the first time for 60 mins... I fell IN LOVE with running. It IS an amazing feeling! Can't wait to read a future post of you signing up for your first half-marathon! Keep up the good work! It's a new feeling of proud, especially once you start adding on the miles! :0)
  • I'm 5'8 and I haven't been below 200lbs in a LONG time. I have a large frame--very stocky body. My goal weight is to JUST be below 200lbs...My ideal would be to get to 185, but it's a struggle for me to get below 200... I strength train, so I build up muscle quickly, but I'm losing inches. To most people, they say I look…
  • I agree with this. I lost 50lbs on a different website & then Joined MFP to see if it'll get me out of my plateau. MFP says I only lose 11lbs. But my weight-loss photos aren't fake. I doubt someone would post fake photos. There's no gain from that because they still have to look at themselves in the mirror.
  • I am right there with you as far as the plateau goes. I have been bouncing back and forth with gaining and losing weight for the past YEAR. I also have changed both my diet AND my workout routine, and I've increased the amount of calories I eat now. I take saturday's off of dieting to give me those non-healthy foods I…
  • I wore a bikini at one of the hottest beaches in the US: Miami. I'm 5'8 and weigh about 198lbs. I don't have a tight stomach, and not SUPER flat, but I was proud of myself for having lost 50lbs and I'm flaunted what I had! And then I noticed that the people around me, weren't this skinniest of girls either (some bigger…
  • I posted a before picture of me in a bathing suit--reason being because it was the photo that made me realize I needed to lose weight. Seeing it on the computer screen and KNOWING people could see that was a motivator for me...I WANTED to be able to add newer, thinner, photos of myself--so I worked hard to be able to do…
  • I am kinda of like you! I feel like I'm too much of a chunky monkey to run races, standing at 198 at 5'8. But it ALWAYS puts a smile to my face when I see/hear the comments from my skinnier friends after I log my Nike + runs on Facebook or tell people how many miles I just ran. They always look amazed... and THAT makes me…
  • I have moments where I'm just not interested in exercising. The key is to find something that you enjoy and do that. When I first started my weight loss journey I was taking dance and yoga classes. I loved to dance (and would in my room all the time) and I started to love yoga because it was low-resistance for me & didn't…
  • Hello! Feel free to add me. I'll be 25 in March, no kids and NOT getting married any time soon. I have been losing/maintaining weight since May 2008. I lost 50lbs and am about 15-20lbs from my goal weight. I don't look at my body fat percentage cause I know I'll always be overweight according to that scale. I have a stocky…
  • I don't think it's a bad thing to change your goals. According to the BMI scale, I should be in the 160s for my height. I too would look sick at that weight with my super stocky frame. I have set what I think is MY ideal weight. I've already lost 50lbs and am liking my body. I am more fit and able to do more things…
  • I use a protein shake as a post-workout drink just to give me some quick energy back. I'm always on the go and sometimes it makes for a good breakfast or grab-n-go snack. I use Pure Protein which I bought from publix. It's Vanilla Creme flavor. I blend it with 8oz water or a low-calorie 100% juice (like Good Belly) and add…
  • quote: I think there's a lot of subjectivity involved. Back when I was genuinely happy being obese, obesity was something I found very attractive. If I liked the way someone looked, nine times out of ten they were obese. As I've changed my lifestyle and started focusing on my health and fitness, that's changed. I still…
  • YESS! This is me! I lay in bed thinking about needing to get dressed and hit the treadmill.... but never do it and then 10pm rolls around and it's time for bed... so then I'm like "it's DEF too late now... guess there's tomorrow".
  • Agreed! An occasional babble about how your day has been and how it's affecting your mood/energy towards working out...cool...but a constant/all-day babbling gets annoying.
  • I usually reward myself with non-edible treats as well, but I recently bought Edys Fruit bars as my reward...it taste good, gives me that sweet-tooth fix i usually need, and isn't enough calories to make me feel like I've counteracted everything I did all week. I already take the weekend off, just because of my work…
  • I take the weekends off. I workout 5 days a week & watch my diet. I work on the weekends and am at work 12hrs, so it's hard to watch my diet. I try to pack lots of healthy snacks, but I work up more of a hunger because I'm moving the whole shift & I tend to eat more at breakfast and lunch to stay full for the amount of…
  • I haven't been with my boyfriend nearly as long as some of you all have been, but I talk to my boyfriend about marriage all the time. He told me recently that what holds him back is how MUCH I talk about it. It just becomes a pest & makes him feel like I'm rushing everything. He feels if he proposed now it would ruin the…
  • I work in a hospital and was required to take the flu shot as well, or I would lose my job. Since I NEED the job, I did whatever I had to in order to keep it. Thankfully they offered it free. I had no side effects from the shot at all--never got sick or had any soreness or anything. By the time I went from having the shot…
  • Thanks. I'll definitely look into all of those!
  • Alright--so I was GOING to start Dec. 1st, but that didn't happen. And I was going to do it today, but decided I'd rather go for a 4 mile run instead, and now that I'm home for my run, it's time for me to go meet my friend that I made plans with. So aiming to start tomorrow. I know, I'm a little behind, but I'll pick it…
  • I read this post cause I am about 15lbs from my goal weight. I have been in a stall for a year and I could never figure out why. I kept thinking if I have a weekly deficit of 3500 cals per week, shouldn't I be losing? It's so weird that you need to EAT MORE in order to lose weight when you get closer to your goal weight. I…
  • Hello! I'm 24. I workout hard and eat right...but not sure I have the hang of this thing anymore! lol But feel free to add me!
  • I got mine off iTunes for $10. And I plan on starting with 3lb weights until I can get to the store to buy 5lbs.
  • I am definitely started Dec. 1st as well. I am also incorporating Jillian Michael's Yoga Meltdown & 6 Week 6 Pack and running 2-3x a week. I'm trying to push SUPER hard this month! I have been in a plateau for ALL of 2011 and I will BREAK this plateau before 2012! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!  :grumble:
  • A friend's birthday party--she had a tailgate for our college football team.
  • I'm going to try it. I was JUST thinking this when I saw the post. I think I'm going to do a JM Month Long challenge and add her Yoga Meltdown and 6 Week 6 Pack ab video. I haven't lost weight ALL year and hoping to find something to kick start me out of this year long plateau.
