  • I weigh myself daily and see my weight go up and down by 3 lbs from day to day, when I record my weight on MFP, I only record new lows and re-enter that weight until I go below again. I think that sometimes when you lose fat the empty cellswill fill with water and then suddently release ( the so called WOOSH). I think of…
  • I have a similar one, "Sweet on the lips- Heavy on the hips!"
  • I am 46 and have struggled to lose weight. About a month a go I started a hflc diet (high fat, moderate protein, low carb). The weight is coming off. I can eat more calories than with the traditional way of dieting and I feel way better. Eliminating sugars and processed foods can make a huge difference in weight loss. Its…
  • Thank you! I said "No thank you" to myself and this morning I am looking at a 1.2lb loss!! Now I KNOW that feels way better than the effects of a sugar laiden sweet treat!
  • I would just start up where you left off and really push the water, especially since you are feeling ill. If 1400 cals worked 5 days ago why drop to 1200?
  • That looks bad. Here is the link: http://www.weightlossforall.com/carbohydrates-alcohol.htm
  • Here is a link for you: http://www.weightlossforall.com/carbohydrates-wine.htm We all need to relax on Friday night after a busy work week. I tend to have white rum with diet coke. Just make sure to drink plenty of water the following day! Enjoy your wine!!:drinker:
  • Thanks. Great read. Puts things into perspective for those of us who weigh daily and watch the needle bunce up and down. I know as long as I see a downward trend I'm happy1
  • I like to warm pecans in a fry pan with butter and a few drops of English Toffee Stevia. Add a little salt if you like sweet and salty. Really good!
  • Most salt substitutes contain potassium which is good for leg cramping.
  • I just looked through your food diary and I don't mean to sound harsh but you are 37 with 2 kids and a husband. Where are your healthy carbs? Carbs you get from veggies. If your Dr. wants you eating oatmeal for breakfast I would question him/her on what your carb intake should be. Even on the one day you ate 900 calories…
  • Friend request sent!:flowerforyou:
  • Ohhhhhh...I'm intrigued. Do you share recipes? I'm only in two weeks BUT the occational keto friendly yummy should be ok.
  • Bacardi White Rum and Diet Coke/Pepsi. Take me away! LOL
  • Contrary to popular beleif, when you eat has no bearing on weight loss. Its calories in/calories out. As long as you are within your set calories it doesn't matter. Now if eating late causes sleep issues, or digestive woes then avoid it. And as far as water, have a glass right before bed if you like.......but be prepared…
  • Thanks for the link. I've been taking potassium and there is magnesium in my calcium supplements, I also took some digestive enzymes before supper and feel a ton better! Best of luck. Feel free to friend me if you want to compare notes:smile:
  • Today is also my 4th day, (although day 2 I went over on carbs due to a work dinner) and I started getting diarrhea yesterday and this afternoon again. My stomach is off, a little girggly and slight nausea with little appettite, no headach. Just adjusting to the higher fat diet I beleive. And I'm VERY thirsty!! Can't seem…
  • This sounds amazing! Thank you . I have been wanting taco salad.
  • This. Low carb is great but eventually you still need to count calories, whether you do a carb restricted diet or not. Burn fat or burn carbs for fuel will get you the same results when done properly. I totally agree that some of us ARE carb sensitive and have issues eating any grains or sugars and they will cause weight…
  • Total NET carb are your Carbs(sugar, fiber and starches) minus the fiber carbs. For example If your package says: Carbs- 30g Fiber- 16g Sugar- 10g Your net carbs would be 30 total-16 fiber for net of 14 g (10 sugar and the other 4 is starches) For a reduced carb diet you count NET carbs. Hope that helps
  • Thank you for the suggestions and friend requests. It is hard to grasp the "Fats are your friend" way of thinking after years of everyone pushing low fat . I've always naturally loved more protein and good fats so I'm hoping this is the way my body wants me to eat for a healthy life. A few more questions. -Should I be…
  • My bacon is 290 calories for 2 slices!! The only bacon I can find for 60 cals for 2 slices is Turkey bacon. I've wondered myself if the cal count is for raw or cooked.
  • Meat!! As long as it hasn't been heavily proceeded. check labels for added sugar. Ham, bacon, chicken, steak, chops, roast, add on some veggies sauted in oil and your good!
  • Zuchinni, red onion and grape tomatoes sauted in some italian dressing!! Delish!!
  • I just log 1 cup of milk, drink my tea and all is
  • People can always ignore or just not reply to threads that may pop up often. Not everyone spends their entire day waiting to see what threads pop up and maybe by asking a question its an opportunity to find friends with similar goals or experiences.
  • I am going to cook a beautiful turkey, with stuffing and homemade gravey, mashed potatoes green beans and squash, probably throw in some rolls. Desert will be a heavenly chocolate cake WITH frosting (and birthday candles for me!!), and I'm going to sit and eat as much as I want and not worry about calories. I won't even…
  • :flowerforyou: Congrats!! But what does NSV mean?:blushing:
  • Anything you put on your skin is obsorbed into your body. Our skin is pourous so it can enter your blood stream as well. Paben free sunscreens, warnings about deet on children, women on hormone replacement should avoid lotions with soy. Now as to wheter or not these cause weight gain? It's true the HCG diet recommends you…
