Great thread! These are guidelines I follow: 1. Shop the perimeter of grocery stores and not the aisles 2. Avoid/limit starches: white rice, white bread, pasta, potatoes 3. If I can crumble food to dust, avoid it 4. No pop, juice, or other liquid sugars - just drink water instead

Headed back to Winterpeg for the summer. I grew up there and my family heard about my weight loss and dying to see what i look like now. My aunt promised a shopping trip to celebrate if I dropped to a 12. I'm about to shrink out of my size 10's now so I'll probably be an 8 by the time I get there. I can't wait to see their…

My daughter is named after the character in Final Fantasy 7 that got killed by Sephiroth.

I started at 230+. Just keep chipping at it and be patient. As long as you're consistent, you'll be successful. Good Luck!

It will come in handy when if you decide to run the 5k obstacle course infested with zombies: http://runforyourlives.com/

More like Warrior Dash or Spartan Race on steroids... LOL. Tough Mudder is on my fitness bucket list. I just have to figure out how to deal with the electrocution.. and the ice baths.

I'm 5'1". SW was 230+ (not sure due to fear of scale after that last weigh-in) GW is 110. So I got a ways to go yet. But chipping away at it slowly but surely. I'm on personal challenge to do 60 min of exercise for 60 days straight. (to work on my consistency) So far I'm on day 17/60

I'm 40 and 5'1". My SW was 230+ (exact # unknown as I was afraid to get on the scale after the 230 weigh in). Current weight is 149. My goal weight is 110.

When people stare at you cuz you sound like you have Tourettes as you cling to the railing as you go down the stairs.

LOL. OMG been there.

Thanks for the great complements! I agree that it's the journey that counts, not the goal. Goals can shift and that's okay. My new goals are to be able to do all the crossfit exercises unmodified and not look so ridiculous while attempting all the ring/bar work. I know if I chip at it every day, all the attempts will…

My net is supposed to be 1200. I usually try to intake about 1500-1600 regardless of the amount of exercise. I don't think I could eat only 1200 calories a day. I'd go insane and eat someone's face off. Or eat my children in a fit of hunger. I love food too much. I've been on MFP for about 2 weeks and been recording…
