To help preserve muscle. When you lose weight, you have a chance of losing muscle. Muscle is what makes you burn more calories. Not only that, but exercising makes me feel less depressed and anxious.

Hi, sorry you didn't find what you needed to here. However, what you're doing to your body will hurt you. When I was 13, I would eat about 500-800 calories a day because I wanted to be skinny. I did lose weight, but I gained it all back and then some by the time I was 15. You cannot do this for the rest of your life,…

Just don't use 3 sticks of butter on pasta like Mama June does...

Well maybe if chocolate had no calories that would be great, lol.

It's most likely sodium and water retention. Have you been doing weight training? That can cause your muscles to swell a bit at first.

I'm sorry about that. The best you can do is try to take bad opinions with a grain of salt and find good people. Don't let rude people ruin your progress :)

Well eating lots of protein does make you feel full for longer, but in the end it's still a calorie deficit.

Being only 5'0, I'd say tall for a girl starts at 5'6. For a guy, like 5'11.

Why does everyone freak out over a natural female function...?

You're not too thin, they're just jelly. I'm the same height and 112 lbs, and 100 is my goal (for right now).

I'm 18 and I need about 1500 calories to maintain my weight. But I'm also only 5'0 :/

Sometimes you might not be eating enough calories for your muscles. I was at a plateau when I was eating 1200 calories a day. I increased it to 1400 and I'm losing again :) I'm 112 lbs at 5'0 and my goal is 90 or 95. Well *kitten*..

I just use water...

OP have you ever crash dieted before? That can destroy your metabolism. Also, if you're on any new medication, make sure you're not gaining water weight from that.
