  • I am fat because I love sweets. Little Debbie and Hostess were my BFF!! And who knew pop/soda made me retain water?? And bread - mmmmmmm. And convenience foods. LAZY *kitten*!!! and probably many more reasons.
  • I look at like this. As long as at the end of the week I am under my total cals for the week, then I am doing ok. I have to give myself a break one day a week to avoid fallinf off the wagon completely. I like that you can see a weekly average column on the app that shows you this.
  • I use mini goals myself. When I reached the first one - 13 pounds - I bought a new pair of gym shoes and sports bras. I have 6 more to lose to reach my next mini goal. Have no idea what I'll do. Probably buy clothes or shoes :)))
  • So happy for you!! Bet that made you smile :)))
  • At this point, I have never even given that a THOUGHT. I have only lost 13 pounds. I have at least 30 to go. I get on MFP daily. I also have deleted MFP friends, if I don't know them in real life, if they don't log on for a period of time. So as long as I am working on those 30 pounds, MFP will be working right along…
  • How exciting!! I can't wait to join you there. You should be soooo pround of yourself because that took A LOT of determination.
  • I would do it as well. I need someone looking over my shoulder, so to speak.
  • Good for you!!! I like buying work out clothes. It's a good feeling when they get looser also :flowerforyou:
  • Hey, there is an older woman who uses a walker to get around at my gym. But she's there!! Use that bench cuz one day, you won't have to. And good for you because I won't even attempt burpees :grumble:
  • Wow that is so inspiring!!! You should be SO proud of yourself. You have chosen to do this the right way, the healthy way and it sometimes is the hard way, but you are making great strides. Please keep going :)
  • It's a personal decision on eating exercise calories or not. But you will find a STRONG opinion on MFP that eating 1200 calories a day is not sufficient. You can search the forums for a ton of information on the fact. "Eat more to lose more" I understand why people believe that restricting calories is the way to lose…
  • That's funny because I had something similar today. I used two eggs, a can of chicken and a tbsp of sweet relish, smashed it all together.
  • Depends. For example, I washed it yesterday morning, slept all day cuz I was sick so I didn't wash it this morning. But tonight after doing the eliptical I will be soaked and have to wash it. Then tomorrow I won't wash it at all since I won't be working out, then Thursday morning I will have to or it will be too oily. I…
  • Put me in this club as well. Doctor's records have me at 221 on Feb 1st of this year. Now I'm 209 on May 15th. I've been bouncing between 208 and 211 for three weeks. But I know I can work out more. So that's my plan. AND my pants are getting bigger, so I'm going with that!! A couple of people have said that my face looks…
  • Your face is popping out of the darkness.
  • I also do the everything in moderation. I allow myself about 1, maybe 2, REAL Coke's a week. My hands swell with too much pop and I get migraines that are aggravated by the sugar in Coke as well as the fake sweetener in Diet drinks. So splurge on the calories once in a while to get what I really love. The rest of the week…
  • That's the way it goes, one NSV at a time! Keep going!
  • I loved WW points system, did it at home (for free) along with the gym and had great success. Did not stick with it long term. Tried again in 2010 by going to the meetings. It just didn't hit me right that time. I do allow myself some wiggle room on MFP by checking the weekly report. If I go a little over one day, I don't…
  • Quacker instant oatmeal made with milk. Now I'm drinking water.
  • When my goal was 1500 I often was netting 1200. I was soo fatigued and plataued after five pounds. I set my cals to 1700 and it really helped. I am losing weight again. I added a One A Day vitamin for energy and that helped as well. I would suggest upping your cals.
  • Here are some examples My NSV - non scale victory: I have to wear a belt with some of my pants now. And my wedding ring fits much better than it used to. Someone asked me at work this week if I was losing weight. My husband told me my face is looking thinner. And I've noticed I'm getting stronger because I upped the level…
  • OH , and her trainer got fired just a few days later guys. . .
  • Hell I love the pic of the dog "***** I'm Fabulous" Frickin awesome cuz I think my dog thinks that!!!
  • I do not miss those days. Hysterectomy. BEST thing that every happened to me. I'm sorry to all of you still going thru THAT. :flowerforyou:
  • Eating exercise calories?? I'm eating 1200 calories a day and working out 5 days a week, why aren't I loosing weight? I seen a post bout it
  • Hun wanting to lose 5 pounds a week is unrealistic when you are in the "real world". That is Biggest Loser stuff when they are on the ranch and do nothing but work out under doctor care all day long. If you lose 1-2 pounds a week that is great and safe!
  • OH wow. I was 5'7, same as now. I weighed 117 and wore size 6. Now I weigh 212, size 14. Craziness. I like to say now that I was just tooo skinny back then.
  • Go figure. I was at 1700 cal on MFP in March when I signed up for a trainer. Granted, my weight wasn't moving. Trainer says I should be at 1500 so I go there. I lose 5 pounds right away and then plateau. I go back up to 1700 last week and have now lost another 2 pounds.
  • Zombie, I had some of the same questions. 1. I started tracking Sodium because it makes me swell. AND it causes water retention. You can add Sodium to your tracking. 2. Are you drinking water? I saw two diet colas yesterday. I cut my cola consumption down to one can, maybe 1 or 2 x per week. Again, just me but it makes me…
  • I wanna feel my ribcage again!! Good for you! My wedding ring fits better and my muffin top is so much smaller :) rofl
