American Horror Story! I can't wait for the second season to start!

Sounds like you were maybe just a bit jealous, OP. I doubt your entire attention was to be 'nice'. That being said, I think you should've minded your own business. She wasn't bothering anyone.

Don't feel too bad. It happened to me today, too. I didn't each but about 500 calories yesterday, woke up starving and had a decent sized breakfast, skipped lunch, and then gorged myself at dinner. I ate about 3,000 calories today. It sucks, but like you said, MFP and everyone here will help you regain control. Don't beat…

My mom has severe arthritis in her hips and knees, so pretty much any standing exercise is out of the question. Swimming is even out of the question, despite it being good for those with arthritis. She bought a workout tape of Amazon called Sit Tight by Richard Simmons. She said it really got her heart rate up because of…

Everyone is right about attitude. When you start learning to appreciate YOU, you'll feel sexy and beautiful because of the way YOU look. I know that's hard to grasp. My self-esteem is practically non-existent and I sure as hell don't practice what I preach, but I know that it works, because I've seen so many confident…

I agree. I took a very long break (try over a year) before I got back into exercising. I had so much going on at the time that my heart wasn't in to it and I couldn't manage to give it my all. Now, I've kind of found that spark again and have been kicking *kitten* working out and haven't binged in a month. Breaks are…

I met my fiancé in a Tom Green chatroom, of all places, when we were 19. He had a familiar username, so I decided to message him to see if I knew him. At first, I didn't like him. He seemed arrogant and a little pompous, so we lost contact after awhile. We continued to get in touch and then lose contact for a few years…

Bump for me, too Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of any moves that won't irritate my sciatic nerve?
-
I would say the general rule of thumb here is that you shouldn't be exercising intensely for more than 2 hours a day, whether or not you can handle it or not. Anymore without proper rest can lead to injury and a whole bunch of other problems down the road.
-
I didn't "try" anything. How was I to know she has different stories (according to you)? I was only taking her at face value. No need to be sarcastic with me. I've done nothing to you.
-
I would assume it does to some extent. If I eat around 11pm, I'm sure some of it will still be there in the morning since digestion takes awhile. Obviously, you wouldn't still include those calories the next day (or I'd be in big trouble!) though.

I don't think she was being judgmental. Her response would fit perfectly with what I said about wanting to drink for days and using up 1,000+ calories on booze instead of healthy food. That IS risky, unhealthy behavior. I doubt she meant any harm in what she said and wasn't referring to the people in this thread who talked…
-
God, yes. Lately, I've been feeling the urge to drink for days straight. As long as I can work it into my calorie goal (which isn't smart since a 1,000 calories worth is going towards booze), I find it hard to care.

I've got one for you that's low calorie and low sodium, depending on the stock you choose. The original recipe calls for 1.5 tsp. of salt, but I don't add that. Senate Bean Soup 1 pound Navy beans 2 yellow onions, peeled, minced 3 potatoes, peeled, chopped 6 stalks celery with leaves, minced 1/2 cup flat leaf parsley,…

Oh, I see. Well, thanks for all of that. I had no idea. Sounds like a plan though!
-
I always thought you needed complex carbs pre-workout. I guess I learned something today. Thanks very much.
-
Thanks for your advice, everyone. I'll make an appointment soon to talk to my doctor about it.

This just happened to me recently, too. I had no idea that I was consuming so much sodium. Now I feel bummed out every time I read the nutritional labels. Even reduced sodium stuff is too much. :( I hate plain rice, so I like to sauté a lot of garlic and then throw some plain cooked rice in with it. It makes it taste so…

I always get super thirsty, because I tend to sweat so much. Is drinking too much water bad during a workout?
-
I used to workout on an empty stomach, but found that I just tired out too quickly. Plus, I guess if I did have hypoglycemia, wouldn't not eating prior to working out make it worse? I'm not well-versed in hypoglycemia, but from what I've read, it sounds pretty similar to what I'm experiencing. I guess a trip to the doctor…

I usually wait 30-45 minutes after I eat before I start to workout otherwise I feel too weighed down and full. Do you have any suggestions of a better snack?
-
My usual routine is 20 minutes of circuit training followed by 30-40 minutes of cardio kickboxing. I don't start to feel sick until I get to the kickboxing. I have a lot of knee pain, so I don't even do the workouts the proper way; no jumping jacks or anything. I hardly ever get off the ground. I feel like if I slowed down…

Clean eating is great and works well for me. It helps with my depression and anxiety and gives me much needed energy. Like others, I do 90% clean eating, 10% processed food. It gives me a little room to adjust for certain situations where I'm not prepared or just feel like having a little something special. I think clean…

I have trouble remembering to do things, even when I leave notes and hints in plain sight. Setting an alarm is the best idea. It's loud, annoying, and catches your attention.
-
I'm glad you figured out what was causing you so much anxiety, and I'm glad you mentioned it here, because I suspect that I have a hormonal imbalance. My anxiety and depression started when I hit puberty and it's been terrible ever since. If it was hormonal, that would make a lot of sense!

It's hard to find jeans that don't have spandex in them nowadays. The Gap, Old Navy, and some other places like American Eagle all have nicely made jeans with only 1% spandex. I'd avoid any places like Walmart or Target though. The prices must be reasonable, but they tend to have more spandex and stretch out too much. I've…

I'd say 1/2. I used to be able to put back a whole large pizza by myself, or maybe 2 orders of chicken fingers from Pizza Hut. I'd always go back for seconds at home - and sometimes thirds! I will never understand how I ever ate that much in one sitting. It's just amazing.
