  • Wow! Anyone else find it amazing that this thread was originated on November 3, 2011! All that said here is my data! - what kind of build are you? SMALL - how much do you currently weigh and what size pants on average do you wear? AVG WEIGHT 105, SIZE 0 SOMETIMES 00 - what is your goal weight and why? GOAL WAS 108, REACHED…
  • This is me since losing the weight too! I have been told that fat is an insulator. Therefore explaining why people that reside in colder temperatures tend to carry a few extra pounds, e.g. Eskimos. Another example given to me (which I seldom like to reference!) is whales... they stay warm in extreme cold temps because of…
  • Many people who enjoy Vampire Diaries *ahem, me*... don't watch it for the plot, story line or writing... it is all about Damon, "it's his eyes". Five years and the eyes just get better and better! Just saying! :-)
  • Cheap Booty!
  • I am 5'4"... I started at 194 and am down to 107! I was a size 18 and am now a size 0! Sorry, I don't post pic's but my profile pic is the current me!
  • We offer this advice because you asked for advice... we DON'T know you are responding as we type... sorry you are offended... no more to say on that one!
  • ^^ this I noticed the same thing in your diary... no milk logged for cereal... and "virtually" no drinks logged (no water, coffee or tea?). Many times by adding sugar and cream to your drinks there are hidden calories. Or let's say a slice of cheese or a little creamy sauce here and there... it all adds up! I suspect you…
  • 87 pounds... in less than a year. Went from a size 18+ to a size zero. The trick was not achieving the weight loss... but keeping it off. It is so much harder to maintain than it is to lose. When losing you have the number drop on the scale to keep you motivated... been on maintenance for over a year now and it just does…
  • WOW what a GREAT idea! Just imagine the motivation this spurs... once she achieves her goal try switching it out. Maybe map the distance to an amusement park (I live in Southern California, so the first thing that comes to my mind is Disneyland!)... what a fabulous suggestion! :-)
  • My first suggestion is that you remove the word "fat" from your vocabulary. We all come to a point where we face the fact we are overweight... but "fat" is such a hateful word that will resonate negatively on her for life. And coming from a parent, the memory of the hurt will never go away (when I was young my mother told…
  • I don't weigh and seldom measure my food! Never, ever, weighed my food! Just scaling back and estimating has worked for me and I lost over 85 pounds!
  • ^this! I weigh daily... it keeps me in check and helps me stay on track!
  • I sear it in a pan (no oil or butter) with onions and jalapeno peppers. I add a little green tea for moisture so it will not burn... It may not sound as tasty as all the breaded suggestions... but I am very calorie conscious and the spice revs up my metabolism while satisfying my taste buds. Keep in mind... I do not have…
  • Congrats! A great achievement and it really shows! You will get there, your goal is on the horizon!
  • BEST ADVICE EVER! Don't beat yourself up... this might be a good thing! There are some really nice styles out there that will look great now and even better as you work toward your goal!
  • Looking super! Fantastic job...
  • Thanks guys! That thread is/was great... now I can go into work armed for discussion tomorrow!

  • (quoted from above) "When you used to eat overly large portions, didn't you feel really full? Wouldn't that alone be enough to tell you to maybe cut down on your portions?" No, the stomach stretches to contain the food consumed. If it were that simple and eating a adequate portion of food made people full, everyone would…
  • ^^This! I am an avid user of Splenda. Pick your poison I say... LOL! Actually, there are so many worse food additives out there, for me (a former type 2 diabetic) sugar is one. My doctor actually told me if using Splenda keeps me form using sugar, then I should feel free to use the product. Everyone is different I advocate…
  • I own a Samsung Note II and LOVE it! It is the closest phone to a tablet I can get! The screen was the largest available for a phone I could find at the time... (I like a large screen and I am not afraid to carry it!). It is an Android and I can do everything on it! My daughter owns an iPhone 4. She loves it but is waiting…
  • I was wondering if the two were related! Now it all makes sense! LOL!
  • As a former Type 2 diabetic I am a big advocate of sugar free items. But I agree unless your system has a difficult time processing sugar you need not worry about sugar alone... watch your overall calorie intake and you should be fine. All that said, my favorite sugar free snack is a jello pudding cup scooped into a…

  • Doctor Oz also said razors are a good solution for women and removal of facial hair! Uh NO! ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCALLY NO! I will NEVER I mean EVER take his advice again! Trust your doctor not some TV spokesperson...
  • My favorite alternative... sugar free pudding in an ice cream cone! One of those little pre-packaged vanilla, jello sugar free cups in a regular ice cream cone (not a sugar wafer type cone) is a great 90 calorie (or less!) treat. Simple, no sugar alternative to ice cream for us diabetics (and former diabetics)!
  • 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT Convertible! Have had it for about 8 years, low miles and runs like new... "Putty" color with black top! Hmmm, I wonder what that says about me? Fast, sporty and PAID FOR! LOL!
  • Wow! Not only do you look so much smaller... but the door in the background of your pic looks so much larger! LOL! Great job, you look so much healthier!
  • I have two family members that had the sleeve... it is not the end all fix to eating problems or weight loss. This surgery was done a couple of years ago and every day is still a struggle to maintain or lose. The desire to eat does not go away, weight returns on top of new/added eating concerns. I don't believe they would…
