I had mine out about 4 years ago and have frequent-but-unpredictable issues with digestion. (Diarrhea and acid reflux, but I had reflux problems before my surgery, too.) I'm still trying to figure out my own trigger foods but I think what helps me is consistent eating habits. If my diet is poor but consistently poor over…

I'm 5'2.5". My highest weight was 20+ lbs heavier than I currently am (162) a few years ago. I lost about 25 lbs after that, then maintained that for a couple years, but when I started re-gaining the weight a few months ago, I got serious again. I'm back to the high 130s and looking to lose about 15-20 lbs (I think?)…

I'm 26 and get mistaken for younger all the time. I usually get mistaken for college-aged, but last september I was mistaken for a high school student. I didn't used to mind, but now I'm beginning to because it makes me question myself -- do I not dress sophisticated enough for my age!? My boyfriend is 31 and gets…

Wow, I seem to be in the minority of people who are grateful to have a smaller chest thanks to weight loss. Mine were C's at my heaviest and I'm now a B after 20-something pounds, and I'm SO glad. They were always in the way when they were bigger, and the clothes I like just never fit right.

I love just about everything, but current favorites: - Reduced Guilt Spinach & Ricotta Stuffed Shells (frozen) - Naan - Palak Paneer (frozen) - Dark chocolate, almond, and cashew trek mix - sweet and spicy mustard - Macaroni and cheese (frozen and the full-guilt kind -- so terrible for you, but so delicious)

It has been probably about a year since I fate it regularly, but I used to eat Nutella out of the jar with a spoon. I don't even remember the last time I had it, but I remember thinking it was way too sweet. I still like it when I don't eat too much of it, but I don't know what I was thinking eating it with a spoon!!…

I'm 5'2.5" and when I first joined MFP (over a year ago) I was just over 160. I was at my heaviest weight, which was 162.5. Eep! By last fall, I'd gotten down to 136, then I met a new boyfriend and got lazy. Whoops! As of last week I was 139 (so glad I'm only up a few pounds!) and I'm trying to lost the last 15ish pounds I…

I'm somewhere between 5'2" and 5'3" -- so I tend to post on threads for either heights. :-P My heaviest weight was somewhere around 162 lbs, after 3 years in grad school. My rough goal was losing between 30 and 40 lbs, to be redetermined when I see what I actually look like after losing 30. (I want to look toned, not…

I do feel self-conscious at the gym when I know I look horrible, but that never stops me from going. I take no issue with people who enjoy working cute workout clothes, or matching ensembles. I think the annoyance comes when someone looks like they spent a lot of time getting ready to go to the gym, putting on makeup and…

Oh! And I forgot to mention that the relationship ended because we'd grown apart, as many couples who meet and begin dating when they're young do. We'd gotten so caught up in our assumptions that because we'd started talked about marriage seriously that it meant we had to go through with it or something. (I feel really…

Never divorced, but my first serious, long-term relationship of several years ended about 9 months ago. We were "engaged to be engaged," if you will. I'm only 25 and can only offer a limited perspective, but the initial fear of being alone, depression that comes with breaking up with someone you love, and loneliness are…

I really like palak channa (spinach and chickpea curry). I made it on my own at home and was surprised by how healthy it is, the recipe I followed used almost all veggies and a little bit of yogurt to make it into a curry. However, if you're eating out, I'm not 100% sure how a restaurant would prepare it.

My favorite store is Anthropologie - but it's too pricey for my budget. However, I'm hoping that by the time my birthday rolls around in a few months, I'll have dropped 15-20 lbs and can splurge on one of the sale items using my 15% off birthday coupon that I get mailed to me every summer. :o) I would also like to splurge…

WOW! You look amazing! I know everyone's body is different and no two plans will work the same for everyone, but what did you do to look this awesome in 6 months!?

Thanks for the advice. I have always been the kind to eat when I'm not even hungry, out of boredom, so it is a habit I want to break and if i am consuming calories just to consume, i feel like i am not really breaking the habit. However, I don't want to sabotage my weight gain by NOT eating.

I am a sucker for going out for Indian food. I recently discovered a recipe for one of my favorite dishes, a spinach/chickpea curry, and to my surprise it was super simple to make and almost exclusively made of veggies (tomatoes, spinach, onion, chickpeas, etc.) and a little bit of yogurt to thicken it up. It's definitely…

I imagine that if fat free peanut butter exists, it tastes bad. :-/ I am a big fan of natural peanut butter! It does take a little getting used to (you realize that peanut butter doesn't QUITE taste like peanuts until you try natural peanut butter, which tastes EXACTLY like peanuts) but now I love it and eat it almost…

Hi! I had my gallbladder removed about a year and a half ago. My mom had hers removed about 3-4 years ago, and comparing what each of us can/cannot eat, I want to say that what diet to follow varies by individual. For the most part, I can eat what I want without having to worry, but sometimes I'll have issues. I've eaten…

I'm 5'2.5". SW: 160. CW: 158 GW: 120ish When I went off to college 7.5 (holy crap!) years ago, I was 18 and weighed 118, so I decided my goal is 120 based off of that. I'm not so naive to think that I necessarily SHOULD be that size, so when I start getting into the 120/30s, I'll re-evaluate. I was teeny tiny at 18, but…

My weakness is cheese as well! Here are some substitutions that I've enjoyed when I'm craving something cheesy and delicious, but without the excess of fat and calories! I hope they will help you out! Pizza Substitute: CAULIFLOWER PIZZA CRUST For months, I was experimenting with homemade pizza crusts and then I discovered…
