I would infer that you wanted me throw up.

My fingers overlap, but I am not a small frame person, I don't think--my ribcage is freakishly huge!
-
I am on here as much as Facebook now, but no way I'm getting rid of it--but honestly, my Facebook friends I need because they understand me in ways people probably can't here.

I was JUST going to ask this question. I'm on Day 2 of Week 1. Ugh. I guess I need to get one of those calculator thingies of some type, but there are so many people talk about on here I'm lost. Luckily, I think I'll maybe be able to get one. I am literally just running around my yard right now, because I feel so awkward…

Eh, neither of these choices is gonna make or break you! Just have whichever you want--and do it guilt free. After it's done, just move on! That's the way you'll find success, not by restricting yourself totally.
-
Thanks for all your suggestions. I ended up eating prugne con prosciutto cotto e provolone today.

I just asked this same question last night. It's crazy, no? I am scared to find out how many calories I had really been eating, since I've been trying to eat more to get to my BMR. Ugh, so frustrating! I am gonna be eating so much food!

Wouldn't it be kind of difficult to get a Canadian law degree and then live in the US and want to practice? I would assume a lot of the laws are different, but I don't know. What do I know?

Alright, thanks for the reassurance. I just ate two cups of yogurt and I was getting freaked out eating that much! And yeah, I don't really even try to track greens at this point. It's useless. Hahah.

Eating a lot?

I totally agree with this! In the past I've been restricting calories like crazy, eating WAY under my BMR. This time, I'm doing it for my health and nothing else. So I'm eating way more than I normally would. I feel so fulfilled and never really get hungry (unless I don't space my meals out well). If I want to have…

Wow. I really want to friend you after this.

When I use the guided suggestions, I was going for 1 lb/week. But now that I upped my calories from what was suggested, it's projecting .9 lbs/week.
-
I'm amazed that MFP seems to always want me to eat below my BMR. I can't let them make suggestions! :P
-
Well, if I was only eating just above my goal before, do you think I still need to change it?
-
I think it's only effected my BMR by about 200-300 calories. So I just left it alone.
-
I pretty much try to eat above on my calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. I just try to make sure they are somewhat good carbs and fats.
-
Hmm. Good one. I should probably make a list of things I do, though.
-
neoterrar--I could just tell by looking at you that you were a madman.

Okay, when I tried to make kale chips they were very bitter. Any suggestions? Jacques Pepin recommends a much lower temperature setting...maybe I'll try that.
-
I had to google it last night--non-scale victory! This is a very meaningful one!

Breakfast. It's also when I consume the most carbs. Also probably my favorite meal of the day.
-
Sorry, I agree with the two posters above. I forget that some people eat 1000-1500 calories only of bad things on here. I just can't fathom.
-
I think I agree. It's better if you are eating good fats, maybe, just for overall healthiness. Same with carbs. And sugars! Hahaha. You just don't want to eat the bad types of these. Everything in moderation, I think .
-
I have nothing to confess. Food is not my enemy. If I eat something that is "bad" I simply enjoy it, and move on. Without guilt. Because what I'm doing now is so much better than what I have been doing, even with the occasional lapse.

I think Silken is best for soups and things. I have gotten firm before and still have trouble with it--but I'm totally willing to try again if I read something I think might work.
-
Yeah, I have this problem at my job. People really don't take me seriously, I think. Especially since I'm a guy--I think it's more acceptable for me not to be concerned about being overweight. I also hate when people criticize you for eating the "wrong" thing. One thing I love about my plan right now is that I refuse to…
The mainstream media isn't the best source of nutrition information. Try to shoot for a minimum of 1g of pro per lb of lbm and .35g of fat per lb of bw, fill in the rest of your cals as you see fit. You can eat as little or as many carbs that will fit into the rest of your cals if you wish.
That's from…

BMR: 1853 Daily Goal: To eat more than that, hahaha. I'm trying to eat about 100-200 calories over that, but it's a process. Ends up being a lot of eating to me!

Hmm. I think I need a personal trainer and nutritionist. Ha.
