I agree that it can be used as a crutch, but that doesn't have to be the case. I still count a full year after hitting my goal weight. I keep a bar of ghirardelli sea salt soiree (dark chocolate with sea salt and almonds) in my fridge. When I must have something sweet, I break off a square. I believe one square runs about 64 calories.

Thanks. This seems to be one of the more costly options. I hadn't previously considered it because my runs are short enough that I only need 8-16 oz of water.

Find what works for you and stick with it. For me it was using a calorie limit range with the lower number from MFP ad the upper number from TDEE. My goal is to stay as close to the lower number as possible regardless of how much I excercise on any given day. That said, I don't worry about the days I'm at the higher range…
