Better. I've already set aside a couple of potential ticking time bombs that I'm "not able to get to today"...and then I'm calling in sick on Monday.

Call me a dirty hippie, but pigs are wayyyy too intelligent for me to feel good about eating them. Wellshire Uncured Turkey Bacon does the job nicely.

A few pages back I wrote about my large unhealthy co-worker that has been sick all week, sitting over there hacking & coughing, pumping germs into the air, and refusing to stay home when we have tons of sick leave available. So, worst fears realized, I woke up this morning with a sore throat & headache. Started coughing.…

related: I have a snack of 1 tbsp of coarse ground almond butter every afternoon. I prep it every morning, it has its own little tupperware. I eat it in small bites with a spoon, and it tastes like heaven at 3:30 every day

Sad thing is I didn't even bat an eye when I read the title of this thread.

We get 15 vacation days, 5 PPL days, and 6 sick days per year. If you're sick, you use sick days first, then PPL, then vacation. She really has no excuse to not stay home. But, like I said, she'll be sick for a month, so it won't really help. I just wish she'd stay home while she's contagious!

My co-worker in the next cube is sick...she has been coughing up a lung for 2 days. I told her "You shouldn't be here, go home!" but she just shrugged. Why do some people insist on coming to work & pumping out the germs??? (I don't want to be rude, but sorry, she's one of these quite large unhealthy people that will end up…

Every day on the way in to work I stop & get a Venti Americano, skim milk, Equal. 25 calories.

One meal. NOT A DAY. And you log it. Not trying to be mean, but here's some tough love: You've got 11 posts & are already asking about cheat days. You really should go 100% for 30 full days in the beginning. "Cheat days" turn into "cheat weeks" turn into "Oh well I'll start on the 1st of next month."

I was a chubby high school kid. Not obese, but just generally out of shape & chubby. I left home at 19. The first time I lost weight (when I was 20), I switched to Diet Coke & drank it all day. The only thing I ate was exactly 1 turkey & cheese sandwich on wheat for lunch at about noon, went home after work & worked out…

You should check out their new one, "Once More Round the Sun" ... it's not as hardcore as their earlier stuff (some are b*tching that it's too radio friendly) but it's got some great riffage.

I confess I felt really old walking up to the Mastodon/Clutch show at Red Rocks on Sunday night....with a freakin Starbucks & not a 2 liter filled with Beam & Diet. Wooooo partay

What a sh*tstorm. How convenient that he had a shoulder injury, but failed to let anyone know before MOUNTAINS of money was bet on him? I watched tons of boxing in the 80s & 90s...you know, when there were these things called "knockdowns" and "knockouts" I'll never watch another fight. All hype, no substance. Mayweather is…

I saw Metallica in 85 at Day On The Green along with the Scorpions. Also saw them headlining on the Justice tour in '89 with Queensryche opening, playing the entire Mindcrime album - one of the best concerts I've ever seen! Sorry, but those geezers with the voice cracking singer ain't Metallica, kids.

My prediction is a dancing, clutching & grabbing festival, followed by a "controversial" decision that sets up an even more expensive rematch. Thank you for your $100! Boxing has gone down the ****tter since the 1990s.

Sorry, what? :D

I hope you logged the cardio! ("Cleaning, light, moderate effort") lol

I'd reconsider ... once you start logging a run of success, just think how satisfying your graph would be, watching the sine-wave turns into a steady decline? Just a thought!

Neither had we, and then we started bingewatching it. Finished the entire series in like 2 weeks. SO AWESOME

I dunno, every zombie pic/book/story leaves how it started up in the air. I'd really like one to delve into how it started - if man-made, then watching the story of those in the know as they come to grips with what they caused would be fascinating. If it's supernatural, then that opens up a whole new can of worms & would…

Me too. Sooooooooo much.

I wouldn't go overboard. I don't have anything I need to compensate for with a ridiculous car, heh. Honestly we might just do a 2 yr lease on a economy hatchback, and sock money away for a cash car after the 2 yrs are up. After the last couple of years of the War Machine, driving a headache-free car sounds like heaven on…

Growing up, I always gave my dad *kitten* because he only bought cash cars, kept them alive as long as possible, and then when it died, he'd buy another clunker. I always said I'd never be like that. Aaaand now my 15 yr old car is in the shop again, and I'm crossing my fingers that my mechanic will say "time to junk it"…

Ain't that the truth.

On a related note, I confess that sometimes I commandeer my wife's bath pillow & bath salts, turn on the shower radio, and soak in the tub for an hour.

After having a no-so-great run of days eating-wise, I weighed in today & only gained 1/2 a lb. C'mon universe, validating cake & cookies for dinner, and sandwiches for lunch instead of salads IS NOT HELPING
