AMEN GIRL! and CONGRATS!! I ran my first 5K today as well!! It didn't look so in your photo, but any chance you were running in the Spay the Stray? Spay the Stray is what I ran for this morning so I'm just curious... would be cool to hear a fellow MFP-er was there :) It is hard as crap running!! Especially when you've…

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for commenting!! I don't run with anyone and had no clue before what the "average" time for a 5k was... So I had no idea where I stood or how bad/good I am. My first run (6-15-12)was on the treadmill and I only ran 1.75. My time which includes a warm up and cool down and stretch was…

"To puke or pass out at the finish line" Freaking LOVE that!!

I am very new to this, and ignorance on the matter has hold... I have no idea what "PR" stands for. I will take a wild guess and say "Personal Run"?? As opposed to a 5k that you run in with others?... My question was all of the above!! Give me your PR's, your 5k's, your anything and everything :). I just had no basis of an…

I did an online analysis at Mizuno.com where I did all these at home tests and they gave a fit recommendation. We have like sport stores around here, MC Sports, ****'s sporting Goods, etc. But nothing other than those. I am unable to spend too much at this time, but am hoping to find a decent pair to get me by for now for…

I just wanted to take a sec and thank you all for your opinions, your advice, and your take on this matter. You are all awesome!

I am doing p90x right now. I picked up a resistance band kit from Walmart for like $20 and it had a few attachments just for your problem!!! I put mine in between the door and the frame and close the door! Simple and it works.

Lol, that's what I get for commenting on my phone that has auto correct. That's supposed to say that I run at local parks in the area. I didn't catch the mistake before. Sorry about that.

I appreciate the different opinions. I, myself, don't go to the gym. I workout at home or do runs around the neighborhood or WTF local parks. When I do go out for my runs, I do put just a slight bit of powder on and some mascara. I had bad acne in my early 20's and now have scars from it, so although I do not care what…

That's hilarious. I think she was just trying to mess with you; I went to Walmart and was asked if I'd like my milk bagged.

I have kind of dealt with the same issues. My cramps have been so had and the nausea so overcoming that I've been on subscribed medication (pain killers), and I've tried different types of women's contraceptives like the shot, different pills, etc. I got so hot and sick feeling that I've found myself sleeping the day away,…

This happens to me all the time, and in both directions too!! I'll have that moment where I look in the mirror at home and think, "damn girl your lookin good today!", and then I'll see a photo from that day and wonder when from the time I looked in the mirror that morning to when the picture was taken did a Mack truck hit…

Welcome (All of you) !! This is a great place. You do have the occasional jerk, but overall I'm loving it! Been a member for about 3/4 months give or take. It's overall easy, some getting used to, but easy. Enjoy!!

I just started week 10 of p90x. It does take some time. At first I thought, "what in the hell am I doing??", but it does get better and so will you! I would give it until the end of the 4th week. If by then you still don't feel like your getting ANYTHING out of it then do something else. I get easily bored, so even though…

I hear ya! It's hard isn't it? In a way this journey is awesome, like no other journey. The ups and downs lift you to a place like no other, and yet it also sucks like no other!! Take it day by day. Don't beat yourself up too hard when you fall down; stand up, brush yourself off, and move on. <- sounds a bit silly, like…

There hae been times when I have felt the exact same way, It's hard... you come here, hearing the hype, hearing the support, and when you start logging in it seems like your standing in the corner by yourself watching everyone else enjoy each other's company. I try my hardest to comment, to support everyone on my friends…

Yes, I can see there is a definite difference! Your waist is looking nice! Way to go!! Awesome job!!

^^^ !!! So True !!! I kept making excuses. Had a hint of what it would be like to to have diabetes when I was pregnant with my youngest being told I had to be very careful and having to track everything I ate and had a point system I had to follow with my food intake. It sucked! I was a woman who could chow down a whole…

There are a lot of changes your body is getting used to, especially in the beginning. Some would say your initial loss was water weight. There are some awesome reads within the boards here about the beginning weeks, a plateau, those last few pounds, etc. You don't say anything about exercises either, which could also be an…

We have all done this... Don't be too hard on yourself. I was over yesterday and worked out, and today is my rest day so I can't help but feel slightly "bad", but its part of the process or journey. We are human and not perfect, and as long as you are on an overall uphill climb of eating healthy and doing your body good…

I have been going though this myself and I think it involves a bunch of different little variables equaling a drop in sexual activity. The emotional ties that come along with this journey... You discover things about yourself, your body is changing, your going through some physical changes which I'm sure is changing up the…

Absolutely hilarious! Your on your way to many friends here. And I just may have to steal your idea and get some of my own.

If it concerns you then doing something enjoyable and very light should be ok. Some light stretching, a nice leisurely walk, etc. It's not just your body parts you've been concentrating on in your workouts that need a break though, your heart needs it too, so don't do anything too extensive. I know a lot of people, and I…

Ohhhh I like the way that sounds :) Going to be looking into one of these!!!

Depends on a few things. How much over did I go? Is it my rest day/no worry day? What type of food did I eat: a bunch of junk, or am I over mainly on good stuff? I take this all into consideration, but no matter the answers I try not to stress about it too much and just take it day by day, being true to myself and doing…

I am a few months new to mfp and do get a bit nervous when it comes to posting throughout the boards. I have learned alot since day 1 and feel a need, if you will, to help those as much as I can who are new and those seeking opinions and advice I can help with. My knowledge is better than once was, but I'm not near…

I'm doing p90x right now, just completed day 62 I believe. I had the same problem at first. I then found a band kit at Walmart for $20 that came with a few different types of anchor and I use the one that goes into the door, in between the door and door frame when door is closed. I then find I get the best workout when…
