I gained 5 pounds in a couple of weeks around mid-December - and now I've been sick for the last week (even though I did have that French toast on Christmas), so almost all of the 5 pounds are gone!

-Chocolate-covered Oreo balls, which are truly dangerous -Ranch-seasoned oyster crackers -Artichoke asiago spread (I've been using it to stuff mushrooms, or top little bruschetta toasts - gets all gooey and melty in the oven) -Baked brie with cherry almond jam -Peppermint ice cream with homemade hot fudge -Overnight…

I'm in a similar boat, but doing something now is better than gaining all the weight back and starting from scratch. We can do this!

I would like some new friends! Most of my friends have gone inactive in the last few months and so I have hardly anything on my news feed now. I've been active on My Fitness Pal for close to 2 years. In 2014 I had a lot of success with it, losing about 45 pounds (30 before my wedding and 15 after). 2015 has been more…

143,500 according to the number of pounds I've lost, but in reality, probably fewer because the first 5 pounds dropped off REALLY fast. I'm betting those were mostly water weight.

1/1/14 was 14 months ago.

I get this, too. Can't wait until I can go on long weekend bike rides. (For now I'm totally snowed in, which makes me even hungrier.)
-
My favorite is a banana, a cup of unsweetened original almond milk, a carton of yogurt (usually vanilla - though other flavors work too), a dash of vanilla extract, and a tablespoon of peanut butter, plus maybe some crushed ice.

I'll try to eat lighter and work out elsewhere in the day, indulge a bit for Superbowl, and get back on track the next day! Shouldn't be a big deal. I was so nervous about getting way out of control during it last year, but it turned out to be fine.

Popcorn is usually helpful for me at times like that, or a bowl of cereal, especially with almond milk. Very low-calorie but also very filling!

213 days here! There are maybe 2 or 3 days since last Jan. 22 that I haven't logged in. First on my honeymoon in June, then when we came back and almost immediately had my dad's retirement party to go to. The morning after the retirement party, I jumped right back into it.

I definitely get more curvy when I lose weight. I feel like, with excess weight, I'm just a rounded blob!

This is my first-ever holiday season of being active on My Fitness Pal. I lost 42 pounds this year (and gained 1 in the last week, so right now it's a net of 41 - I've kept alternately losing/gaining that pound for the last month!). It is REALLY REALLY hard for me at this time of year, but I've been walking at least a mile…
-
I'm totally going through this too (for the last several months or so) and still have about 50 pounds left I want to lose! I'm blaming it on weather/holidays right now and at least trying to keep the damage to a minimum until January. It might seem easier again then...

Being told by 2 doctors that I was at risk of stroke in my early 30s was a pretty good motivator. I've been at this for 10 months now, have definitely slipped up a whole bunch of times, but I always keep trying to dust off and move forward!
-
I just went through the same thing for about a week and did give in to my wanting to eat more (a few hundred calories a day). Somehow I lost 2 pounds that week, which is more than I usually lose. Maybe being sick burns more calories! (I doubt it, but...)

Like many here I don't call them "cheat" days, more like "treat" or "splurge" days. I absolutely have them - about once a week where I log everything but let myself go over some, about once a month where I don't bother logging the calories at all (like a huge party or buffet or something). My worst day this year,…

My favorite exercise is: 1) walking on the treadmill while using the iPad or watching TV (makes the time fly), 2) bike rides (weather allowing), 3) Zumba classes at the gym. Last spring I did some spin classes and a workout program called Yourself! Fitness on the Xbox. I'd like to get back into those, shake up the routine…

http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/?s=pumpkin I've tried one of these so far. I liked it. So many more to try, so little time!
-
I've definitely slowed down a lot. At first I was losing pretty fast - 6 or 7 pounds a month - but in the last 3 months I've lost only about 10. And only 1 since mid-August! :(
-
Yep. I am worried about when November and December roll around. Darkness at 5 pm, cold weather - I struggle with it every year - am having a harder time now already (although exercise helps).
-
I am all about red or white wine (a little on the sweeter side) in the last couple of years. As for other stuff, it varies, but lately I'm really into Mike's Hard Smashed Apple Ale - for fall! Yay, girly drinks!
-
That's what I love about MFP (well, one of many things). Every day is a fresh, clean, brand-new start. It makes this feel so much easier!
-
I had weight struggles for close to 13 years before trying out MFP - would lose 5 or 10 or 15 pounds a bunch of times and then gain 20 or 30. What motivated me this time was life-threatening health problems. It sounds cliche, but I decided giving up was not an option. Sure, it's been hard and painful at times to make…

I've been getting a lot of comments - from husband (who had been commenting for months anyway), family members, co-workers, a friend - since hitting about 35 pounds lost. Plus, some clothing items are getting so loose as to be actually uncomfortable. I sometimes have to change out of them and into smaller ones because they…
-
Yep - I've been stuck so close to 40 pounds for what feels like weeks and weeks now - so frustrating! I'm trying to remind myself of this while feeling hungry and tempted to snack on everything in sight.

Skinnytaste.com has a whole section of fall recipes, with lots of pumpkin. I plan to try some. I am kind of a pumpkin addict. Edited to add link: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2007/07/skinny-fall-recipes.html

I love weekend breakfasts. This morning I'm keeping it simple - some tea and a whole grain English muffin with Smart Balance and apple cinnamon jam. For tomorrow I'm planning on a mushroom cheddar omelet, maybe some tater tots from Trader Joe's if I can ever find them in the freezer.
-
Finding clothes to wear in the morning is easier. I also like more pictures of myself now, where I used to dread seeing myself in photos.

This happened to me in the middle of my week-long honeymoon in June, but within several days after getting back, I'd already lost almost 9 out of 10 pounds. It turned out to be no big deal at all.
