Yes, I did...and I ran my first 5K at week 6 of the program outside. I was never a runner before.

Loved it and totally recommend it. I graduated last week and started Bridge to 10K last night. I have NEVER been a runner until I started C25K in February...now I'm addicted. Get a phone app. There are lots of them out there. Get good running shoes. Breathe. Don't go too fast! Good luck! :drinker:

My 14 year old son has stretch marks on his back from growing so fast. Nothing he can do about it either. Be proud of where you are now with your fitness...and what it took to get yourself there. Btw, Owen is 14yo...6 feet tall and 127 pounds...not an ounce of fat on him and still has those stretch marks. :ohwell:

I attended my 20th reunion last November...it was fun! I look better now than I did in high school so I was glad to see everyone. Yes, there was satisfaction in seeing the now overweight former head cheerleader...but only because she was always a nasty b!tch to everyone...and still is! Just be you and have fun. People…

I have this problem, too. I HAVE to wash my hair after my workouts. I'm sure that's why my hair is so dry now. I was a Wen girl for a long time, which was great, but they screwed up the billing too many times and I had to stop using them -- they charged my card twice for each shipment. ARGH! No, thanks! Anyway, I try to…

Feel free to add me. 39 year mom of two very active boys (14 and 9). If you want to run, I suggest the C25K program. I recently graduated from it and it's awesome. I was NOT a runner before the program, but I most definitely am now! I started Bridge to 10K last night...so awesome!!! Good luck. :flowerforyou:

I just graduated from C25K (started Bridge to 10K last night). I loved the C25K program and breezed through it in only 6 weeks. Good runnig shoes. Get your breathing down in the early weeks..and the later weeks, when time is longer, it won't be so bad. Don't go too fast. Repeat weeks if you have to. Believe in yourself.…

My suggestion is to shock your metabolism by changing up your calorie intake: go higher for a few days then drop back down to 1200 (or so) for a few days then level back off at your regular 1450. Also, what kind of exercise are you doing? Perhaps it's time to change that up as well. Are you drinking enough water? Good luck!

^^^^THIS exactly. If I even attempt to drink water during my 45-55 minute run sessions, all it makes me do is have to pee! Take a swig before and then gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I just finished it last week...such an awesome tool! Push yourself and don't give up! You can totally do this! I'm starting B210K (Bridge to 10K) tonight...I'm super excited! Feel free to add me if you want. Runners are a distinct breed!

I retain water like nobody's business...and I just try to continuously flush it out with more water...
-
I take a bubble bath every night of my life. Bath & Body Works is so worth every penny.
-
Push ups!!!

You can add me...we're roughly the same weight with roughy the same goal weight. Good luck! Oh yeah...but I'm too old...double your age!
-
Running...and I can't wait to do it later!!!
-
After you've been properly fitted for real running shoes in your size that correct or continue to neutralize your step, you will understand the need for good running shoes. I love my Brooks Ghosts!!!

I graduated from high school with my gynocologist. We have some interesting conversations while he's...down there. I have no shame. :noway:

In my world, nothing is off limits. Everything in moderation. And, if I want to splurge on something decadent, I make sure I bust my butt during my workout to compensate for it.
-
If you take more than your body needs, it will just flush it out anyway so you'd be wasting money. I take: a daily multi zinc alpha lipoic acid water pills (because I retain excessive amounts of water)
-
Flush it. Then just keep doing what you do... I recently told my grandmother that I lost 20 pounds and that I was feeling really good about myself. Here's her response: "Yeah, well, I guess that's good...although there's plenty of you left to go..." Um, really? :noway:

Eat Healthy Snyder's Veggie Garden Crisps. 160 per serving. Crunchy like chips. SOOOOO good!

Oh, yeah...I eat 'em! I need them!

My 14 year old son, who has been afraid of clowns sincce birth, and still is to this day, would have a heart attack. It would NOT be funny. Last Halloween, he went to a haunted hay ride event with his friends...a random clown saw him at the gate and proceeded to follow him around for two hours...just following and staring.…

Tomatoes...but now there's nothing like a fresh tomato on toasted whole wheat with romaine, pepper and Miracle Whip Light! Come on, summertime and those yummy Jersey tomatoes!
-
We run together...although he runs the 1/2 marathons and I'm only at the 5K level. I can usually be found belly up to the bar waiting for him to finish.

Guilty as charged.

Yes...I force myself to leave for work and then I count the minutes until it's time to leave. Love what I do, just not the people here.

I saw some in Target...probably won't last more than a season, but cute and affordable!

Let's see, got my license on my 16th birthday in 1989...three days later, I bought: a 1982 Black Ford Escort with red pleather interior...it was awesome! Until I killed it after only 8 months...
