  • Porridge! If you make it with water and only a little milk, and add some cinnamon and nutmeg to give it a bit of flavour it tastes really really good. I sweeten with brown sugar but honey would probably work too. I can see exactly how much sugar is going in that way :). Or sugar-free museli. There's still quite a lot of…
  • Hi Ben, I'm from Birmingham too! And know EXACTLY what you mean about eating healthily but not exercising haha. I finish uni in the summer so am planning on joining a gym when I start work, just plan to ignore everyone there :p. The only thing I really do it try and walk really quickly whenever I'm going somewhere, tis…
  • I'm 21 too, don't feel much different to I did when I was 19 though so think I must count :p.
  • I doubt it'll have any side effects but it'll taste much nicer if you make it fresh! (Sorry, I'm a tea-snob haha).

  • People might not realise you want to be told, honestly, before I starting trying to loose weight, I didn't realise I was supposed to mention it! I had a friend who lost loooooads of weight and looked really good, but I didn't dare mention it too explicitly incase she thought I was saying she's been fat before haha! Then my…
  • Cools, stairs it is! Hopefully I'll survive better than last week - I only managed it once :blushing: (I blame the torrential rain, not my laziness, though that was definitely a factor, hopefully I'll improve as time goes by!). Good luck everyone!
  • Hi. I suggested that we walk up and down and back up the stairs we were going to go up anyway, that them same back up again, it would amount to a lot of steps eventually, Another idea - if you really want a snack, move somehere quite and drink some water for a few minutes. Why go go back out you may find that you don't…
  • I do the exact same thing, it's really difficult to stop from eating when I don't have anything to keep me busy, it's stupid cos drinking tea helps, but to make tea I have go into the kitchen where there's food so... my current plan involves getting other people to make me tea :p.
  • How about, every time you go up some stairs, walk back down again then back up. And the same for coming down them :). It's not much but will add up!
  • Grrr it's THROWING it down! Has been all day and doesn't look like it's going to stop. Ah well, I managed my mile yesterday, will have to try two tomorrow!
  • The mile a day thing sounds good! I'll try and do it over my lunch break, will get me out of the lab for a while!
  • I'm up for that! Went to the pub with friend last night for dinner, and even with picking a sandwich over a burger, asking for salad instead of chips, and drinking REALLY slowly so two drinks lasted me the whole evening, I still went waaaaay over my daily calories, and everyone else was eating all the bad stuff with no…
  • Same with me, I commute (takes me an hour and a half each way) so although I'm working normal hours I'm out all the time, when I'm at home I'm exhausted so am having a really hard time making myself exercise! I love belly dancing so what I've been doing is just putting some music on and getting up to practice to it for…
  • I never thought of that, I've not been on this combo for very long and I am starting to loose some (I've stopped gaining weight at least) so it is very possible! I'm not seriously considering stopping them, whenever it crosses my mind I just think about how I felt before! I just need to figure out the best way to deal with…
  • Everyone experiences different side effects, so just because you haven't gained any weight because of them doesn't mean that I haven't, I'm really struggling with my weight at the moment, when before I started the medication I didn't every have to worry about what I was eating! Thanks for your support kimss, using this…
  • Hi, I've not been using this site very long (and this is my first post - hi everyone!) but it'll definitely keep using it - it's been helping me to keep an eye on what I'm eating so yay. Anyway... I've been on antidepressents and anti-anxiety medication for a couple of years now, and have increased from a UK size 8 to size…
