If you hike outside of your own country make sure you check the local laws on knives, in the UK you have to have a provable reason if you want a lock knife above a certain length, going on a small hike doesn't qualify. Going up the tallest mountain (for survival) or fishing (as a tool) for example will be fine.

All my life as far back as I can remember into childhood.... No reason or trigger for as far back as I can remember I was fat.

I cheat, eat Slimming world's scan bran.... its like 85% fibre and tastes like MDF and is quite cheap. I also sprinkle some psyllium husk in my morning protein shake and fine scotish oats which is a nice big dose of easy fibre.

Get a body fat percentage check with a doctor or relevant expert :) For example my gym Nuffield is also a private healthcare unit so they will do this for members of the gym for free, its worth checking.
