  • That's so hilarious!! I love that reply and that it shut him up!
  • Definitely KEEP LOGGING! Even if you go over every day, if you are logging it will at least make you think about what you're eating.
  • 1, Thinking about my obese patients and all of the challenges we face in caring for them. 2. How much better I feel and can play with my kids and run around with them. 3. Having MFP friends cheer me on as the weight comes off. 4. Having people asking ME fitness and nutrition advice.
  • Can't wait to use this one after hunting season. My husband always gets a couple of deer.
  • C25K-I feel like it changed my life...along with MFP Trader Joes- Carribean fruit floes, espresso pillows and reduced guilt multigrain pita chips Chobani apple cinnamon greek yogurt Taking "me time" to exercise...I deserve it!! • Wow! Good for you. You are doing your body such a favor, especially with your health issues. You are setting a great example for others. Keep up the good work!
  • You can tell such a difference. Keep up the good work.
  • The most obvious is the couch to 5K program. It's amazing. I started off at 215 lbs and never running more than a mile in my life and hating it, to now running 5 miles (goal of a 10K in October). Anyways, before I knew about the C25K, I started off by running the cul-de-sacs in my neighbor hood. I would jog the cul-de-sac,…
  • Some new jeans from the Buckle! A new shirt in a smaller size.
  • I've always told people my weight, even before trying to lose.
  • C25K and MFP in combination has changed my life. Even when I was in great shape years ago, I NEVER ran. Always did fitness classes or elliptical with weight training. I had a lot of changes in my life and couldn't fit gym time in so ended up gaining 50 lbs. in february of this year I heard about C25K and MFP. Decided to…
  • I have a hard time on the weekends as well. If I know I'm going to go over on the weekend I usually don't eat my exercise calories during the week and it seems to balance out my going over on the weekend.
  • I work 12 hour night shifts. If I didn't work the night before I get my workout in in the morning as soon as I get up. If I worked the night before, I do it in the afternoon as soon as I get up.
  • I wouldn't log it if its calorie free. It wouldn't even occur to me to make a racist comment about Kool-Aid. This white girl loves some Kool-Aid!
  • When I went shopping the other day I LOVED waving at Lane Bryant and went into The Buckle instead!!! It felt so good!
  • If I go anywhere after I work out, people think I have a terrible sunburn. It takes awhile to go away to. Just something I live with.

  • Yes and I focus on portion control. We never get anything larger than a kids meal. I explain that even for adults that is a correct serviing size.
  • I use Pandora when I run and I LOVE my "Pitbull" channel. Any song he's involved in or music similar is usually great for working out. Just finished my first 5K and have used that station the whole time.
  • I like to say "You can fix fat, but you can't fix stupid"
  • Wish my brother would read this. When we went to an amusement park and he couldn't ride most of the rides last year, it made me really sad for him b/c I know how much he loves roller coasters. Hopefully soon he will see the light and try to get healthy.
  • Great job!! Keep up the good work.
  • So happy you did not chose surgery!! There is no risk of illness or death from healthy diet and exercise like there is from surgery. This is coming from a nurse who has seen many weight loss surgeries go bad. You are setting an amazing example!
  • I can't say enough good things about the C25K. I hated running, but decided I didn't have time for the gym and had to get healthy, so I gave it a try. I now LOVE to run and miss it on my off days. Don't worry about speed. I just worried about completing every jog part even if I was going SLOW. I didn't start working on…
  • So great that you are doing it together. Keep up the good work!
  • You need to log your food just to have a reality check. I didn't think I was overdoing it on some meals, but then when I logged it I couldn't believe how many calories my meal was. Little things add up too. Don't be discouraged until you are logging and doing your exercising and see how it goes.
  • It took a few weeks for my shin splints to go away after I bought new shoes. I iced them after every workout and took some ibuprofen before my workouts. Did higher impact exercise only every other day.
  • I love my "Pitbull radio" channel on Pandora
  • I am amazed by the couch to 5K program. I had never ran a mile in my entire life and now after 10 weeks doing the program I can run the whole 5K. I started the program at 215 and have lost 25 pounds so far. Running has became my favorite exercise. That statement still shocks me!
  • I just opened my backyard pool and swam some laps today. I have been running 3 miles 3x/week at a 10min mile pace, yet swimming back and forth 10 times in my 28 foot long pool had me way out of breath. Interesting how the different excercises affect you so differently

  • I use it in the shower to shave my legs and as an in shower body lotion. I also take my makeup off with it then wash my face afterwards. Haven't tried cooking with it yet though.
