That's being judgemental. I think it's safe to say if you have a lot of weight to lose you are desperate! I am not currently using any diet pills but did use Adipex 2 years ago to jump start my weight loss of 60 lbs. It made me disinterested in food so I ate for nutrition. Once I got going I stopped taking it (maybe 2…

Hi Janie, My story is similar to yours. I need to lose over 100#, started March 2012, lost 70 lbs and went through some issues. I gained back 45 and am starting over again. My health has been an issue too and I need to do this if I want to live to see my daughters get married and have any quality of life as I get older! I…

Awesome! Thanks for sharing :-)

^^Exactly what she said! I've lost almost 60 lbs since March and I don't deprive myself. I don't go overboard like I used to though. If I am at an event I will have a small bit of yummy things instead of eating a lot and make healthier choices to fill up on. If I want pizza I work it into my day's calories! If I indulge,…

That's an awesome idea! Thanks for the tip! I usually use plain and add sugar free caramel sauce to it but don't like that it has splenda in it so thanks for the healthier version :-)

I am open for friend requests! I have about 120lbs to lose and have lost 37 lbs so far in 10 weeks. I am very committed and avoid fast food but I do have days where I get a salad from Wendy's or dine out with the family. This is FOR LIFE not just a diet :-D

Chia seeds have 6 grams of fiber per 2 tablespoons (70 calories, 7 carbs). I mix it with a cup of unsweetened almond milk and a few drops of liquid stevia, let it sit for 15 minutes. The chia seeds will thicken up almost like tapioca. It's my nighttime snack :-) Also, you could try Fiber One cereal. There are a whopping 14…

FYI: I raised my calories to around 1350-1400 from 1200's and kept my carbs around the 80's and the weight has been falling off. I also get about 130+ grams of protein per day.

Thanks for taking the time to post all the advice! I really appreciate. Some of you posted some that really made sense and helped me figure things out.

I didn't realize I posted this in the wrong forum! Oops...

Thanks! I plan to check out the local gym this weekend and see about getting a personal trainer. I know that doing weights will help rebuild the muscle I've lost over the years and rev up my metabolism so I'll ask about the diet part too.

DITTO! I'd love to know too :-) I did Medifast 5 years ago and lost 50 lbs but HATED it and couldn't stay on it for long enough. I gained back every pound plus more :-( I have been researching endlessly and have read that to lose weight effectively one should stay under 100 carbs (ideally 80-85) per day. Anyone know more…

I am 5'10", 42 yrs. old, started at 385 lbs (ugh) and am at 363 lbs today. -22 in about 5 weeks. My goal is 240 lbs. I know that sounds high to most of you but I am keeping it realistic from where I am starting. I've been obese my whole adult life, overweight since 12 yrs. old. I could use some friends/support on this…
