When smokers quit, they may gain weight for a number of reasons. These include: Feeling hungry. Quitting smoking may make a person feel hungrier and eat more than usual, but this feeling usually goes away after several weeks. Having more snacks and alcoholic drinks. Some people eat more high-fat, high-sugar snacks and…

OP: Hold on. Quitting smoking WILL stall your weight loss. I had the same issue last year when I quit. Just keep at it. You can eat more, eat less but likely your weight will remain unchanged for a little while. So what. Eat right. Exercise more. Be kind to yourself. Quitting smoking is the best thing you can do for…

I am proud that I have been smoke free for 3 days and no one is dead.

This is my life as well. Add multiple sports. I make it work. You have to learn to love your crockpot. And you need to make your health a priority. Excuses don't get in the way of priorities.

Yes, you absolutely can! There may be some extra skin, I don't know how much weight you have to lose (and some of it is just genetics). However, you definitely lose from your belly. I can tell you that I gained 50lbs with my first baby. My stomach was my trouble spot before I had him. After I had and worked out. My stomach…

This. I wouldn't log it. Eventually, it won't make a difference in calories your body will adjust. When I became a waitress (running around up and down stairs) I lost about 5lbs. Then nothing without try to lose. I got a day job and then bam, gained like crazy. Your body will will adjust to standing and then you won't be…

Yes. Over and over again. 135-177 ( pregnancy) 177 to 135 (with some real hard work) 135-170 (life, moved, lost family members, stress eating) 170 (pregnancy) 170-218 218-Now 177 I cannot bust through the 170's!! I wrecked myself with all the yo-yo's I think! However long it takes though, I will NEVER go through this again.

I usually do not eat back my exercise calories. However, I do have a mental "bank" if I go over a day or two I am fine with it.

I agree! I went to see it with a great friend whom I hadn't seen in a long time. After the movie, we were slient. We were so depressed we decided not to go out to eat and see people. It was disturbing...

Not exactly a "real" recipe but I love kale chips! In fact, I am going to make them now~ http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/melissa-darabian/crispy-kale-chips-recipe/index.html

I like to juice as a supplement to my already mostly healthy diet. I am not a believer in "juice" only. However, having 7-8 servings of veggies and fruits in a sitting is great! I have felt better since adding juice to my diet. However, eating 7-8 servings probably would have the same affect. Try it, if it's not for you…

The verdict is that I have a strained iliopsoas muscle and need to stop exercing that region for atleast 2 weeks. I will make sure that I warm up more next time and maybe stretch some more in between sets whether the trainer likes it or not. However, my arms, back, and core will be shown no mercy!!:drinker: Does anyone…

In all my years of dying with cramps, I have never heard of the banana suggestion. Thanks. OP: I do get (and have now) extremely heavy and cramp ridden periods. Like other posters said, I usually pop a couple Naproxins about 30 minutes before I go to the gym. I found this article a minute ago after checking about the…

Hi Holli, I love mine. I like many others, record my food on MFP and let Fitbit calculate calories. It may calculate some steps for driving but for the most part I just try to go above and beyond my daily goal of 10,000 steps. My fitbit has taught me how truly sendentary I am during my working hours. I only average 1.3…

When my son was about 4, we were having a family dinner. As we were all sipping our soup, my son says, "Soup is healthy. It is good for your body. It makes my private warm". WTH...we all spit out our soup laughing. Kids are hillarious.
