I like historical fiction. I'm reading "The BookThief". A little heavy... About WWII nazi Germany, but excellent. Also "Unbroken". Also WWII setting. Amazing true story!

Thanks for clarifying! Sorry Jade, I thought for a minute there you were a little crazy, but in fact, we are much the same because I too dislike water. I drink it with Propel Zero. Haunt been able to change that...yet:)

Me too. I'm on a mission, and don't get in my way. I'll socialize later...maybe:)

I agree. Squats are the answer. The same is happening to me, except it's my boobs that are disappearing. I was a small B cup to start, and I am noticing more shrinkage! I do lots of chest presses, but its not helping. I think a good push up bra, or plastic surgeon is my only hope. Oh well. Small price to pay for fitness:)

Mayo, ketchup, and onions! My husband thinks I'm a freak with the mayo. He doesn't know what he is missing:)

I use the cardio machines and weights at the gym...all of which I could probably do at home. I like the gym because it gets me out and around other people. I tend to keep to myself at the gym, but even so, it still feels like a social event. My advise would be, if you want to take classes at the gym, make sure the class…

I personally don't worry about to much fruit. If I didn't have fruit to snack on, i would be eating starchy carbs. I suppose too much could slow weight loss, but this isn't a race. Please pass me a peach:)

Give everybody a couple of buddy passes, regardless of their membership level. Its nice to bring a friend, and brings new potential members in.

I also use elliptical all the time.mine also let's me know when my HR is high. I do not think this is dangerous, I just think the machine is programmed to make you aware that you are working at your max. I do HIIT training where I get my HR to max, then do intervals with my HR around 150, (max about 170). It sounds like…

1/2 whole grain bagel topped with one egg over easy and avocado slices on top, salt and pepper...heaven!

In addition to doing "girl" push ups, work on holding a plank position. Push ups require core strength too!

It can be done. I guess it depends on your primary goal. Weight loss was my initial primary goal, but as I started to see muscle and feel the benefits of excercise, I cared less and less about the scale, and more about overall fitness. It may have slowed weight loss temporarily, but now I feel like a metabolic machine. I…

Old Navy sweetheart style. Low rise, but not too low. They fit great, and very affordable. I may try a more fancy pair this Fall!

I believe ketosis gives you sweet fruity breath, ketosis i believe is associated with diabetes and starvation states. Hope this isn't the cause!

I'd def say you burned at least 200 cals, probably a lot more! Love that outdoor fun excercise!

Why do we have to special order PB2? I'm curious about it, but philosophically opposed to having to order something that should be available at my grocer. Who are these snooty PB2 hoarders anyway:)

That's great! I think the elliptical is perfect for HIIT training. As long as I have my iPod, I can sweat like crazy on that thing. THE ELLIPTICAL RULES!

I have heard that you should weight train before cardio. I can't remember the rationale for this. Having said that, I have always done my cardio first. I just like it that way. I have gotten results doing it my way. I'd be interested to hear the reasons for weights first, but is it really that important? Are we splitting…

I can of water packed tuna, 1.5 tbspns low fat mayo, 2 tbspns of the fresh hot salsa that you get in the produce section of grocery store. Mix in bowl. I like it on triscuit crackers.

I hear what you are saying. JMs Shred it with weights is only 25 minutes which seems like nothing compared to my 1-1.5 hr workouts. I think if that was my only workout, I would feel like I had to do more. I have incorporated kettlebell exercises into my strength training routine at the gym, so I am getting a little more…

Not enough info here. This is situation dependent. I personally am not a fan of low fat products although I absolutely control my fat intake. My 11 yo daughter is a waif at 65 lbs. If she started asking for low fat items, it would concern me, although, my response would not be " you are too young". We would be having a…

If you can ban those trigger foods for a couple of weeks, you may find that you no longer crave them. Over time you will find that you WANT the healthy stuff. Also, try skinny cow ice cream. It's just enough to satisfy that ice cream craving if you really need it.

Oh gosh! 200 cals...I wouldn't think twice about that! I have had many days where I'm sure I exceeded my allowance by 1000 cals. The challenge is brushing it off ASAP and returning to your plan. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Don't fall into the "I've blown it, so why continue" mindset. This is a long term…

I think having your own kitchen is a real benefit! Go grocery shopping and stock it with healthy snacks and easy healthy meals. I agree with above poster about hotel gym...use it!

Once you get used to them you won't be able to do without them. They put a lot of power in your pedal! You will get used to them. Just keep clicking in and out until it becomes second nature.

I work out on elliptical trainer. Incline of 10. Resistance 8-10. I do intervals where I go fast at 200-230 rpms/minute, then back to 130-150 rpms. I do 40-60 minutes. I also do stationary bike. I spin at resistance of 10 and do 1 minute ntervals on resistance of 20 (I'm standing out of the saddle for this). Do this for…
