  • Also from Boston! GO BRUINS! side note...this is the first hockey game I have ever watched:)
  • Could you do crunches on stability ball? Planks are really good for the core.
  • I personally only log heavy workouts, but to some that have lots of weight to lose and may be seriously deconditioned, some of those things that you don't consider excercise may be serious excercise for them. I agree that some will count breathing as excercise, and they are only fooling themselves...it's not my issue, it's…

  • Well said! I have been frustrated with my body at times, but I have always tried to honor my body no matter what. It has served me well for 46 years big and small. It saddens me when people berate themselves.
  • I love hard boiled eggs too. I think i eat a lot of eggs. I'm not sure if that is such a bad thing. They have helped me shift to more protein. My favorite breakfast is a fried egg over easy atop a serving of cheese grits. So yummy. I have also been making fresh bread in the bresdmaker and using it for toast and peanut…
  • Yes. I think the mfp numbers are overestimates. I think the machines also overestimate by about 25%. I trust the numbers on my heart rate monitor even though they are lower:(
  • What's Koga?
  • I got 2 new sports bras from Lululemon Athletica. Lovve them both. The black one has a sort of lattice back that is really cute. I think I can wear it as a bathing suit top. Both bras have padded removable inserts so they don't flatten you out and you can have a fuller look which is good for my small girls:)
  • I'm doin it! I'm doin it!
  • I'm not a water lover either, but using a camelback water bottle which has a bite valve and a straw has helped a lot. I flavor the water with propel packets (similar to crystal light) and real lemon.
  • Ok...what's a fupa? And I must admit that losing 25 lbs and at my goal weight of 140, I think things down there look different. Let's just say that I've "uncovered" a lost treasure:)
  • I really felt the same as you. Didn't want to waste my precious cals on a drink. Then a friend of mine convinced me to try a protein shake. I have to say that I am a convert. I don't think I have actually eaten lunch in a week. I love my protein shake! It is sooo tasty and filling. I say give it a shot and see what you…
  • I have a polar ft4. It is only good for counting cals with excercise. I beleave it relies on heart rate measurement to calculate cals burned, hence the chest strap. It sounds like maybe you want something like a body bug. This gives much mordant detailed data about your activity. Also costs a lot more I think. I thought…
  • I see no reason to delay excercise if you are physically able:)

  • NSVs are so much better than SVs! Congrats!
  • You are not settling...you have arrived! This is where your body wants to be. I am in the same boat. My body will not go below 140. (it's been 4 months). Learn to love your body. Even those few jiggly spots. Keep exercising and work on maintanance. You have worked hard, try to enjoy the fruits of your labor. You look great!
  • Love that! Just in time for that half marathon!
  • If you have cable tv (comcast) there are fitness videos on demand, and there are several good core videos. I've Bern doing one called 10 lb slimdown-abs. Planks are also good core work. Good luck.

  • Patience, patience patience. Not throwing in the towel after 1 bad meal or day. Do not eat standing up! I used to consume so many cals while preparing meals. The no standing rule has helped a lot.
  • The closer you are to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose. Your weight loss may be slower if you strength train, but your measurements will tell a different story. Several years ago, I lost 30 lbs without strength training. I was a size 10 after the weight loss. The weight came back on over the years.…
  • Fage 2%. I tried another good one the other day, but I don't remember the name. It seems like all the yogurt vendors are going greek now.
  • You are a very pretty girl, but you cannot deny that that pic is somewhat provocative. When you post a pic like that, what do you expect? I'm not saying it's right, but every action has an equal reaction. Hope you get what you are looking for:)
  • 1 carton of chocolate muscle milk, 3/4 cup ice, 1 banana. Put in blender...Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (blender noise) put it in a pretty cup or glass. Chocolate creamy bliss. About 280 cals. Very filling, very satisfying!
  • Before weight loss, I had very little jaw line definition. Now the jaw is there, but I've got a slight turkey neck thing going on. Loose skin under chin. Not attractive, but small price to pay for improved health and fitness. Love the skin yer in:)
  • There is a strength training option under cardio menu, but it underestimates my work out. Best to buy a HRM if you want an accurate reading. I've heard that sometimes those aren't too accurate at lower heart rates, but I try to keep my Hr in a cardio zone while I strength train. Good luck.
  • Maybe just lots of cardio. Forget the weights for now. Maybe something like recumbent bike trainer that won't put pressure on your abdomen.
  • Lol! I'm gonna smoke some tonite! It is friday after all!
  • Friday night is my relaxed eating night. I may or may not indulge in pizza. Usually have Greek salad, a cold quality brew, and maybe desert. Sit in front of the boob tube and catch up on Survivor...(yes, I know Boston Rob won. He is such a stud.) it is known in my house as pizza/Survivor night. The only night that I don't…
  • I usually go alone. I push myself much harder if I am by myself. It's a total half hearted workout if I am chatting with the girls. I still feel like it's a social experience even if I go alone.
