My favorite healthy/cheap meal (with Trader Joe's prices): 1 can black beans (drained) $0.89 1 can tuna $1.29 1 cup frozen corn $2.29 for the 2.5 cup bag 1 lemon squeezed over top $0.49 cayenne pepper, black pepper Serve over spinach salad or eat on its own. 2 tbs plain greek yogurt + 1 tbs peanut butter + squeeze of honey = deliciousness (and cure for the sweet tooth!)

LOVE Clif Bars... I buy the chocolate mint bars by the box! I don't use them as a post-workout or recovery snack -- too heavy in my opinion. However, I do use them as a meal replacement when there is not time for a proper meal while working in the ER.
