I google the exercises to see how much is burned in an hour and then divide it by the time that I'm actually doing it. Of course if you're using a weight that's higher or a higher box for BJ's, etc your calorie count should be higher but I figured let me log SOMETHING. I also go for the lower number so as not to cheat…

I just downloaded MyWod and have logged in my past 3 workouts (i want to eventually log in ALL my workouts--been doing it 4-6 days/week since Nov 2011) so I can have everything in one place. I like it so far!

I do 40/30/30 and am pretty happy with it! Since the fats I'm taking in are good fats I'm not too scared of that number. If I find that I'm losing too slowly I may decrease carbs and increase protein...we'll see!

Actually after re-reading that, go w/ the trainer. Who cares how many calories you burn if you're not doing exercise properly ha know? The HRM can be a memorial day gift! haha

It depends what's more important to you. If you're unsure of how to use equipment and need someone to push you, definitely go w/ the personal trainer. If you're comfortable in your exercise and just want a better tracker, go w/ the HRM. Good luck! and happy birthday!

I found it so funny how everyone started the run up the hill like champs then just walked it b/c it was ridiculous tiring...the obstacles didn't even start yet!

Not sure how the weather's going to be but I was ok wearing shorts (it was hot, and its not the greatest feeling when your clothes are sticking to you). I DID wear knee socks though so that helped w/ not getting too many scratches on my legs!

I did Warrior Dash last summer in Tuxedo, NY. Was a lot of fun! I'm not sure if all of the obstacles are the same but I'm sure they're kind of similar. Definitely get some running done up and down hill, work on upperbody for climbing (including rope climbs), and play in some mud haha... Enjoy it!

My 1 max Deadlift up to date (as of yesterday actually!) is 235lb =) I plan on increasing 10lb in 2-3 weeks! When I do reps of 10-15 I usually do 165-175ish. Deadlifts are my fave!!

I used to do Insanity around that time too (Best at home DVD workout EVERRRRR) Unfortunately Shaun T and I didn't do very well on night dates!!

Exercising in the AM is my fave...It definitely took some time to get used to waking up at an ungodly hour but when my afternoons are free after work (or the choice for a two-fer is available) I feel much better!! Also, it wakes me up for the day and its not as crowded!

What is your exercise regimen like? I used to have the same problem and tried every diet in the book. The one that worked for me was high protein low carb eat every 3 hours and I averaged about 1500-1600cals/ day. With interval and a bunch of body resistance exercise about 30lb melted off of me. Obviously different strokes…
