  • Wow! You look great! Congrats on your hard work.
  • Right before I go to bed. Not not really, but I eat when I'm hungry. Sometimes I don't go to bed until 12 or 1 am so it's not uncommon for me to eat at 10 or 11. As long as I eat right and get the food I need to feel well I don't think it matters if it's before bed or not. Just my opinion.
  • If I absolutely have to have fast food b/c of circumstance (lack of planning etc) I always go for a large Wendy's chili. High sodium, but delicious and filling... and only around 300 calories without cheese and crackers.
  • How did I forget Girls?? Love it!
  • This. "Making a big difference" depends on what your goals are. In general, BodyPump = low weights, many reps, endurance and toning effects. Heavy lifting (machines or free-weights) = larger weights, less reps, larger muscles.
  • Oh no, now it looks like you lost your voice!
  • What's going to happen is you're going to continue to improve your health, look great, and be honest with your husband (as it sounds you have been). The rest is ultimately out of your control. I'd say if the relationship falters because of your desire to be healthy and happy then you're better off without it in the long…
  • This is a fully acceptable answer
  • Looking great, keep it up!
  • None of which are sitcoms? (Edited to say my list below is current, not all time) 1. Community 2. Louie 3. Parks and Rec 4. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia 5. The League
  • Good call. Make sure you emphasize that you are getting healthy so you can live a long life together and to make him happier as well. NOT so you can upgrade in the husband department. You might even need to say it a few times, it can take a while for us guys to get the message
  • People can change in all sorts of ways when they lose weight. Usually for the better, and it sounds that way in your case. Take a deep breath and be confident that if he values your relationship he will come to understand the new (happier, sexier) you. Oh and the point is to be healthy! FOR YOU. Everything else…
  • This sounds cool! What type of phone/GPS app are you using?
  • Based on recommendations found on the forums I went with the Polar FT7. The FT4 was my other option, but the FT7 allows free access to Polar's training website where you can upload your saved sessions from the HRM, track your progress and look at stats. I think most of Polar's products use the chest strap, and from what I…
  • I went for the FT7 over the FT4 because the FT7 was only a little bit more expensive and you can connect it to the polar website and input your data and track it. So far I love it. The optional $40 FlowLink accessory allows automatic sync between the HRM and your computer.
  • I love my recipe: Milk - Nonfat (fat free or skim), 1 cup Chocolate Pb2 - Powdered Peanut Butter, 1 Tablespoons Bananas - Raw, 1 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Eas - 100% Whey Protein - Chocolate - Improved New! Taste, 2 Scoops (39g) 360-ish calories, 36g of protein and it tastes like a chocolate banana peanut butter milkshake.
  • I've always tried to limit it a bit because I have heard people talk about the mercury danger. The FDA only has mercury warnings for children and pregnant women though: "Eat up to 12 ounces (2 average meals) a week of a variety of fish and shellfish that are lower in mercury. - Five of the most commonly eaten fish that are…

  • Maybe I'm misunderstanding the problem but it seems pretty simple... The protein powder I use (EAS Chocolate Whey) just recently switched their serving size and scoop size, but I found that the nutrition facts label on the back indicated the change. So for example, the previous scoop size was: 1 scoop = 1 serving (30g) =…
  • I ran the Boston race last Saturday with some friends and we had a blast! They ran out of camping passes to sell but in the end there was no one checking for camping specific wristbands at the camping lot so I lucked out and was able to camp for free. Also there were no food or drink security checks at the camping lot, at…

  • There was a week or so back in high school that much lunch got taken out of the lunchroom fridge for 3 or 4 days in a row, so I figured it was pretty intentional. So I went to the bait shop after school and bought a package of night crawlers. The next day I packed my delicious lunch as usual, then made an identical lunch…
  • Congrats, that is amazing progress! Keep it up :)
  • People CAN tell... they're just to shy to say anything for fear of being wrong when they ask, "Have you lost weight?" So here is what you do... lose more weight until they are so astounded that their mouths go faster then their brains can stop them from blurting out compliments  Seriously though, stick with it and…
  • New Hampshire in the house! I have same plan, health first and the rest will follow. Stick with it! The routine can seem boring until you start to reap the success of your healthy choices... then it simply becomes the known path to success. Congrats on your decision to focus on your health and welcome to MFP!
  • I did a study on this and my results confirmed that longer commutes are associated with great tunes blasting on my stereo and the occasional speeding ticket.
  • Thanks again everyone. The support here is amazing :glasses:
  • Well, that is one way to say it. While I feel what you wrote is true about myself, I hesitate to tell others the same simply because everyone can be sensitive to different things. Especially the ladies. So even if you are correct, you could probably use some more tact IMO.
  • Here is how I do it: 1. Pack food scale and mini magic bullet blender. 2. Get a room with a fridge (and kitchenette if possible). If you can't get one then figure out where the ice machine is. 3. Find local grocery store and buy all the food you will need. 4. Stock up fridge or find a bucket to fill with ice and stock that…
  • I tend to agree with this since I feel the same way. As someone else posted, I also have brown hair and freckles, so if someone were to point that out...well it's true!
  • Absolutely! Keep it up!
