I usually only get really sore the second day after a big workout. The first day after I think I'm fine then BAM! day number two and I'm hobbling around

Sounds like you might have over done it your first time out. Don't try and match the instructor or other participants pound for pound on the bar. Give it another try with lower weight for each track. You want to get a workout and push yourself, but you don't want to do so much you can't walk for a week

Another avid supporter of BodyPump - I've been doing it 2-3 times per week for over a year now. I think almost everything I would have wanted to say has already been mentioned, but I will add this: Use very low weight your first few classes and see how your body feels afterwards (the day after, two days after). SLOWLY up…

I would have posted earlier, but I was too busy clicking refresh over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again to see if anyone had responded yet.

Great job, you are killing it! Keep it up

I usually just give a huge smile and an overly friendly wave anytime I encounter something like this... nine times out of ten it completely bewilders the people or group of people who made the comment. The look on a person's face after they've tried to insult you and you greet them like an old friend is pretty priceless,…

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, that is all.

Extra water is just about the only thing that keeps my calves from cramping.

Great job and a great share, thanks!!

I do it a couple times per week and I love it. Definitely recommend
-
Absolutely, can't do it any other way

I ask for a plain piece of grilled chicken (or two if they are small) and a side of steamed veggies with no butter. You can almost always get them to bring you something healthy if you go off-menu. All that stuff on the menu is back there in the kitchen, most of it without sauces etc. You just have to ask for it. Good luck!

Love your post. Every day can still be a struggle, even for those of us who have already lost a lot. Keep your head up and stay positive.

Seriously, well done! The mental aspect of making a change like this is so difficult and it sounds like you have got it down. Keep on working hard!

I don't know much about the product or even their prices, but I do know you can make your own healthy protein shakes for relatively cheap and you can tweak them endlessly until you find a recipe that you love. I think most of the hate on the boards for BBV is due to their marketing techniques.

Be proud and continue to share your success with those who support you. You might change their lives as well. In terms of Jane, I'd approach her and let her know what she did was hurtful and reach out to help her join you in the program you are working. If she rejects you AND continues her behavior, it's time to find a new…

Well I don't know about "lots" heavier or lighter, but in general height as well as skeletal structure determine "ideal" weight. So yes, you at 5'4" could have a different ideal weight that another person with different bone structure who is also 5'4". I would say a combination of all three of those can affect the…

Play It Again is a great suggestion, as well as Craigslist (mentioned above). Also, yard sales can be a great resource especially for bars benches and plates. Here is a link for Play It Again stores in your area (profile officially stalked! ) http://www.playitagainsports.com/locations/list/GA

I'd eat less during the rest of the day and try to pick out vegetables, fresh fruit of any kind, and any white meat chicken that isn't fried or covered in sauce. Rice is fine too as long as you have some in moderation. It'll be a tough challenge, but you'll feel great if you make it through successfully!

Started at 500+ lbs, now working my way past 330. Here is a link to my story so far: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/StarkLark/view/how-did-you-stay-motivated-to-lose-all-that-weight-285296

Well done, you look great!

Great job! Now on to the 10K

Currently 330lbs with 125+ days logged in in a row. Your goals are totally possible. Add me if you like :)

"Your Favorite Weapon" is one of my favorite albums ever! But the newer stuff I can kind of take or leave. :drinker:

Absolutely agree... the big number can seem overwhelming and like an impossible task. Start with small goals and stack them up over time.

Don't spend time feeling guilty, but DO spend time figuring out why it happened. Be honest with yourself - I think understanding why you made the choices you made to lead you to where you are is a huge part of making sure you turn it around and don't let yourself do it again. I managed to lose my weight by logging my…

I can't see "oh hai" without random animal pictures coming to mind...

Hi and welcome! The phone app is my favorite, I actually used it for over a year before I posted on the forums. You'll find good info here, bad info here, amazingly nice people and total jerks. In short, yeah - it's the internet  Good luck and stay focused! :drinker:

My phone for music and GPS tracking of stats, my Polar FT7 for recording my burn, and my Asics wrestling singlet under my workout clothes that helps keep my loose and jiggly spots in check
