You can make your own TRX set up for less than $40 (tie down straps, carabiners, ceiling ring, and 12 inches of PVC tubing) At Home Depot and that will work every muscle and then some. Limitless possibilities. I have mine in the garage, doesn't get much use in winter but will get more as weather warms up.

That certainly sounds great and would seem reasonable. If that formula works, 20 lbs would get me under 3 hrs. But I have my doubts. You still gotta train like a mofo to get that fast and sustain it for 3 hours.

I know many running stores have treadmills with cameras now and they can analyze your gait and help get you in the right shoe. Once you figure…

Skeletal muscle mass was high, close to 130% of normal. Of course my BMI and weight for my height (6'2") by themselves would say I'm 20 lbs overweight, but I am more concerened…

Rice vinegar is great all by itself or with a tiny bit of olive oil and it is virtually calorie free.

It is not uncommon to feel uncomfortable the first part of your run, your heart rate eventually adjusts to the effort and levels out. This can be seen if you wear a heart rate monitor. It's actually a great way to make sure you are putting out the right level of effort. Garmin makes many models at all different price…

Been slowly rehabbing plantar fasciitis and post tib tendonitis in right foot. Feeling good last couple days, so my hopes for a decent Boston have perked up. Here's my goals: 1. Learn to swim right and get some open water experience 2. Cross train regularly 3. More bike miles this year (1,000+) 4. Qualify for Boston in…

I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis (heel pain) for 6 months or so, and developed post tib tendonitis as a result of the post tib tendon, the one that goes around the bottom of your inner ankle and allows you to arch your foot having to work harder. I had pain just under the ball of the inner ankle. I've had some…
