I typically mix the plain greek yougurt with picante sauce. I find it works great on salads and wraps.

Any new exercise regimen or increased training intensity typically is accompanied by a temporary weight gain due to water weight as the body adapts to the new stress. After a couple of weeks the phenomenon passes. Stay well hydrated. If you like lifting heavy, lift heavy. The health benefits are great from a general…

I will concur with this no-nonsense fundamentall approach. It will compliment your current goals much better than the routine filled with isolation moves, giving you more finishing power on your runs. The chin ups can be substituted with pull-ups, barbell rows, inverse rows, or lat pulldown.

That will depend entirely on your fitness goals. If at your goal weight you decide you want to add more muscle or get stronger, then yes you will want to do a buking cycle. It may be as little as 15 lbs, then cut and see if you are happy with the results. Bulking should be a structured and methodical process just like…

Everything you listed for strength training is really more circuit training oriented and has a very significant cardio component. You will certainly get stronger doing a body pump class if you have no strength training background. Do the class at the gym so you can work with the coach and get the guidance. After a while…

Lifitng and Bulking naturally... Get on a consistent and quality weight lifting program. (Strong Lifts, Starting Strength, NROL, or something comparable) Eat a modest caloric surplus (250 to 500 calories per day) made up of quality food with a significant portion being protein (30 to 40% depending on your physiological…

While SL may promote a Barbell Bench Press, there is nothing wrong with using dunbbells for the flat bench press. Some would argue that dumbbells would actually be better due to working the wrist and forearms more and isolating each side of the chest. Just make sure to use a weight that meets the goals of SL.

To answer the question in the title, yes. To lose the fat, you must have a caloric deficit. If you are down to last bit you want to lose, it should not be an overly dramatic deficit for an extended period otherwise you are likely to lose quite a bit of muscle in the process (goodbye "toned" look). Toned translates into…

Wow. That is an impressive change. As for as being too much exercise, I guess that depends on what your goals are. Such a focus on cardio lends itself to endurance sports comptetitions, such as half marathons and cycling or triathlons. If overall fitness is the goal, then I would say scale back to 3 60 minute cardio days.…
