ha ha yep I know that ache and so does my poor colleague that has to sit opposite me in the office and has to hear all the strange moans and grunts as I get up and down in my chair, I still like it. sometimes it eases as I start my next workout if not I just resort to painkillers and suck it up

I try and get into the pool just for a couple of lengths and then the steam room for 10 minutes after a workout or indeed nice hot bubble bath. As rabbitjb says I don't get DOMS as much as I used to but I do still get it. its kinda nice to have that ache though

Hi Im from Staffordshire and been using MFP for 12 months over 60 pounds down so far but still have a lot of work to do. Happy to have new friends
-
I had this very badly over 12 months ago. I swam, did the rowing machine and cycled a little but with not much resistance on on the bike. I did a routine on the weights that got my heart rate up too.

I use the ministry of sound running trax albums they are fantastic to work out to

Hiya Staffordshire 12 months on here and always looking for new pals for exchange of ideas and motivation
-
try not too fret about it you lost a lot that first week and that's great. you have to believe in this and stick at it. I can go up by having Chinese (even if its within my calories) just because of the salt etc in it. I regulary lose for 2 - 3 weeks and then either maintain or go up a pound the next week. as you do this…

how very strange ive been having the same frustration myself I have lost over 63 pound last year and then in December got on some scales in the gym that do body fat % and it gave me 38% - I felt physically sick. I workout 3 times at least with it always being body weight resistance or weights and try to get a few runs in…

Well done on making the commitment to yourself and for the loss so far. walking is a great way to start but I would say don't be afraid of joining a gym as it can open you up to lots of exercises that you may never have thought of - classes are a great way of enjoying yourself, getting fitter and making new friends. don't…
-
why? you only have 13 pounds left to lose so why do you need to do that in 25 days? :(
-
Great going with the weight loss. motivation to work out is hard esp at first. I would suggest you don't go mad and think you have to do it everyday. I worked out what I could easily commit to - in my case I could commit to 3 times a week (anything more is a bonus) and I do those workouts every week and tick them off. I…

hiya I started 12 months ago - log daily, open diary and have steady progress but still a way to go until I hit what I think might be my target weight. happy to have new friends

Hi there im not new to this I started on 6th January 2014 but im more than happy to have new friends for and to support. I started at 238 lbs and im currently 177 with another 20lb to get to my target (although im not sure how I will feel if/when I get there). so 60lb + lost in 12 months and looking forward to seeing what…

hi im in Staffordshire and just starting the second year on here as ive still a way to go to get to goal. Always happy to have new pals to share the ups and downs with

it is possible im 46 and lost over 60 lbs in less than a year (ive still got more to lose) I could have done more but for holidays and breaks so yes it can be done BUT its down to how much you have to lose in total and how committed you want to be to it
-
I started this 12 months ago. I am just 46 with a 20 year old son and a partner of 30 years and spent most of my adult life yo yo dieting. This last 12 months I have managed to lose over 60lb and still have a minimum of 20 more to lose. the change I made was to decide what I could manage to commit to this so I decided 3…

I just turned 46 in December and am 12 months into my MFP journey with still quite a way to go. If you think I could help with the motivation then please send me a friends request. ive been very blessed with some wonderful support on this site and hope that you are too
-
when I started back I was getting over an achilles injury and started on the rower and the weights it worked for me to start back
-
by the way I should add that im always up to accepting requests from new friends that need support too :-)
-
My partner although supportive in understanding I am going to the gym 3 times a week after work gets annoyed at the weighing of food and the logging into my phone. Even though he can see that doing this has enabled me to lose over 60 pounds so far. I too have "friends" that say things like "you don't want to lose anymore"…
-
having friends that you are accountable to is a great way to stay motivated - happy to help if you think I can
-
fantastic work not long to hit your target either

this soooooo much this

Dear all im 45 (ok very nearly 46) and live in Staffordshire. I started this in January this year and have made some progress but need to do soooo much more. My profile has some photos of progress so far I log every day and try to encourage my friends as and when they need it. Id love some new friends in the UK so send me…

hiya my son turned 20 a few weeks ago and I am still losing the baby weight plus some more ha ha. you don't have to work out everyday to make improvements. I worked out what I could "commit" to which for me was 3 times a week and anything extra a bonus. I make sure that I get the most from any workout I do. logging on here…

ive forgot to log my lossess this last few weeks on here so add another 3 413.3

this soooo this!! I started in January and lost over 60 pounds doing this and making a commitment to work out 3 times a week (anything more I do is a bonus) ive still got a long way to go but consistancy, commitment and accountablility to MFP friends works. feel free to add me if you feel I can be of support
-
I dont add tea coffee and sugar in those drinks but if I had a lattee or cappuccino then I do. im sure I will get to a point when I will have to log these as well but while I can get away with it I don't. the odd boiled sweet I don't bother but if I have a few in a day then I log them
