  • lol thanks everyone :) And you guys are all so funny!! :) Oh, and after Barnes & Noble, the next stop was the underware dept. at walmart!!
  • Or on the show HOARDERS: Buried Alive!
  • It could very well be a self-esteem issue with him. I've heard of guys wanting to even sabotage their partner's diet because they're scared that either they will leave them when they become "hot mammas" or they're afraid that a bunch of other guys will be constantly hitting on their girl.
  • It totally depends on how you make it. You'll have to enter the ingredients into the recipe tool that we have here on MFP and it will give you the amount of calories in each serving.
  • I love the Apple flavor Crystal Light (or the generic version of it too), especially this time of the year. It reminds me of cider :)
  • Just make sure you are drinking LOTS of water with the extra fiber.. because too much fiber with not enough water can cause constipation! And it can be the kind that you described.. where you don't feel constipated, but know you are because you haven't had regular BM's. I know because this happened to me. UP your water…
  • That's a great tip for eating at restuarants! Whatever is left on your plate after the pause, just put it in a to-go box and eat it another day!
  • I like allrecipes.com They don't just have healthy recipes though, so make sure you check out the calories for each recipe first. Here's a few suggestions if you'd like... For dinner rolls - make whole wheat dinner rolls. For green bean casserolle - instead of cream of mushroom soup, you could use lowfat sour cream,…
  • I've also used Brown Rice, and it gives it a softer texture and it's good :)
  • Yes, I just thought I was drinking enough water, but apparently I wasn't. I usually drink 8 - 10 8oz glasses a day, but I need to raise that I guess. I drank so much today that I feel bloated from water!
  • www.allrecipes.com is a great site.
  • Just add whatever the way you eat it onto the database, and then it's there for the next time you eat it too. Look on Subway's website to get the exact calories of everything.
  • I don't know how old you are, but you look A LOT younger now! Congratulations!
  • I made these today, but added a couple of things and they were YUMMY!!!! I also added 1 tsp of vanilla, 1 tsp of flaxseed, & 5 tsps of 8 grain dry cereal. I only made them teaspoon size to use as snacks. I also only cooked them 6 - 7 minutes because I made them so small. I can't believe how good they are!
  • Just look at their nutritional menu online. It will tell you the calories of everything on the menu.
  • I just bought my first bag of flaxseed today! I have heard it was good for me, but I didn't really know what to do with it. Thanks for all the ideas! I do have a question though... is regular flaxseed the same as Golden Flaxseed, besides the color? I bought the golded. They also sold ground flaxseed. That seems like it…
  • Ok thanks everyone :) Good info!
  • Reading this post is completely optional. You don't have to if it bothers you.
  • I'd say at that age they are too old for spankings. Taking privelidges away is what I would do. What's the most important thing in their lives right now? Cell phones, extracurricular activities, computer time, hanging out with friends, etc... Make them earn it! It's not a RIGHT that they have, it's a privelidge. And be…
  • I have a digital one that I bought at Kmart for around 25 dollars, I think it was. It works great. It never flucutates when I move around or when I step off and weigh again. It is a Cal-Max Taylor Calorie Analyzer. It not only weighs, but tells you your BMI and how many calories you need, etc. It was a GREAT buy.
  • I just watched a video by Dr. Weil yesterday, and he said pastas are ok for you if you cook them al dente. They are lower on the glycemic level at that point, and the carbs don't affect your blood sugar as much. It's when you cook it until it's soft and/or mushy that the carbs turn bad. Very interesting video. We netflixed…
  • Yep, it will work great :) That's how I do mine. You'll just have to bake it a little longer than you normally would.. and if it starts to get too brown on top, just cover it in tin foil, that will keep it from burning. Just keep your eye on them and they'll be great. Enjoy!! By the way, I'd like to join your canning club.…
  • You can make apple pies ahead of time.. but not bake them, and then freeze them. Then when you are ready to eat them, just pop them, still frozen, into the oven to bake. That way they taste like you just made them that day.. which you really did, at least half way! :)
  • I agree with you to a point... :) But when it becomes a STRESSFUL obsession for them, and they get extremely down on themselves and feel like they have COMPLETELY blown it..... well, those are the people I'm talking about. I think the stress could be just as bad, if not worse, for them than the OCCASIONAL splurge.
  • You shouldn't store potatoes in the fridge uncooked because it changes the texture, and I believe, turns the starches to sugar. You also shouldn't wash them until you're ready to eat them, because that encourages rot, and they will go bad faster. Just store in a cool dark place. You can peel them and then boil them until…
  • Enchaladas Suizas are usually lower calorie than a lot of the menu items. The kind with the green sauce. And they're delicious.
  • Yes, it worked great on helping to soothe my sore back!
  • My kids love meatballs! Just make some meatballs with ground turkey, bread crumbs, italian seasoning, and an egg. Then bake them on a greased cookie sheet for 15 mins, then turn them over and bake another 5 mins or until done. Then mix them with some low sodium pasta sauce. Great over pasta, or rice, or in sandwiches, or…
