You have over 5 hours everyday that you are not working or sleeping. Find something you like to do and do it. Do something active on your day off too. Thats a whole day to relax and sleep in or catch up on other things. Anyone could fit in 30 minutes of something. Its not as hard as you are making it out to be.

Interesting article on static stretching and its effects on training since you asked when people do their stretching. http://www.strengtheory.com/2014/12/29/benefits-of-static-stretching-stretched-out-of-proportion/

I think he meant lunge position but I could be wrong. Lunch position does sound pretty interesting though.

You could try doing this. I have seen people try to get the seat closest to the center of a movie theater even if there is someone already there and the rest of the seats were open. Supposedly it has the best view and sound. My old gym had a long row of elliptical machines. A few different models and 3 of each one. Most…

<----Former fatboy syndrome going on 3 years now. :) The worst is that initial gain when you switch from a deficit to a surplus and gain 5ish pounds in a couple days. I know its just water but.... Then your "bulk" turns into another 4 weeks of maintenance or a mini cut to get back on that one pound per week schedule.…

Reminds me of Vera Ellen's waist. Just watched White Christmas over the holidays and Im always surprised by her tiny waist.

There is a book called Strong Curves. Great info on exactly what you are looking for.

If all you want to do is lose size on your chest then you just have to diet down. That is all done through your diet. You can not spot reduce body fat with exercise. It comes off all over your body at the same time. You should still do a good amount of strength training and cardio for health and fitness though. You will…

Slingshot just came out with a set almost identical to Rehband but cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/SlingShot-Knee-Sleeves-Mark-Bell/dp/B00Q7OSQY0 I got a set of McDavis Knee Sleeves and I am happy with them. Especially for the price. They are not as thick as the other ones but I was just looking for something to provide a…

Again it really depends on your goals. If your goal is more for strength then taking enough rest to complete the next set is what is optimal. Trying to turn your weightlifting into cardio is probably not optimal for most people that either want strength or hypertorphy. Resting long enough to recover for the next set would…

I guess to answer I would have to ask, more effective at what? Some good reads on weights, set, reps, volume. lookgreatnaked.com/blog/light-load-training-can-it-build-muscle/ theissnscoop.com/1-vs-3-vs-5-vs-100-sets/

The answer is both but its not always that simple because now you have to decide how much time and effort to put into each one. What if I told you that strength training was also good for heart and lung health and that muscle building was only a long term byproduct under certain conditions? Strength (this can increase…

We had one at my old gym. You had to have a trainer teach you how to use it but then you could use it alone. I tried it a few times and was not able to do it long enough to be considered cardio. Very fatiguing on hands and feet before it was able to get my heart rate elevated. This is the one they had.

I always had a hand towel, water bottle, and a sheet of paper with my workout on it. Much easier than trying to remember how many reps, sets, what weight you lifted last time or what lift you need to do next. I always see people with journals or logging workouts in phones.

Popcorn, gum, coffee, burpees.

Sorry but by itself it doesnt do anything other than taste bad. That might lead to a temporary loss of appetite but thats it. Pretty harsh on your mouth also. It can be used in marinades and other recipes though so you can still use it.

The Schaub's whole premise for going sugar free (no added sugar) was the false theory that sugar is toxic. You may want to do some research on that first before you commit to this massive change. Im not saying you should not do it only that you might want to check into whether its based on an actually health risk. Their…

It will depend on how fast you are going and what kind of shape you are in. It is possible to make it up three flights of stairs without being out of breath though. To get to that stage you have to get in better shape.

I started getting bad sciatica flare ups when I was a teenager. I used to skateboard a lot and thought that was what was causing it. But after suffering from it for 20+ years it didnt seem to matter what I eliminated or how long I let it heal it just kept coming back. Until I started losing weight and lifting weights. This…

I do this about twice per week and have not had a problem since. I think it is the ball that helps the most but the whole routine is worth doing. I just use a baseball though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSSDLDhbacc
