You can create any exercise you want here. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/exercise/new But those are covered under "calisthenics".

Its a beginner body weight squat program. Not everyone is going to breeze through it. Especially if they are overweight to start with. Nothing wrong with working on work capacity either. By the end, most people that can complete it, should be ready to advance to harder moves or start adding resistance. I think its a great…

:) Well I would say there is some similarity in that men and women do often want a body that is more dependent on genetics than fitness or diet. I have seen some people want a shape or body type feature that you cant just go to the gym for. And a man might be more likely to turn to something like steroids than something…

I never felt this personally or noticed it as an issue with friends. Strong and lean has always been admired. So has tall dark and handsome. I dont know if there is some overwhelming pressure to fit into those categories though. One guy might think you have to have a fast sports car to be attractive. Another might think…

Ah you beat me by a few seconds.

Was it this guy? Because you should probably run.

Not sure how you came up with 8lbs of muscle in one month but that would probably be impossible for a young male, in a surplus, perfect diet, roided up to an unhealthy level and on the most advanced lifting program. Not everyone is alike but most of us are still human beings. My guess is there is something off with your…

I had a similar experience. Weaker glutes leading to form and progression problems with the squat. Listened to everyone saying "just squat more". Set me back. Did extra glute work and improved strength and activation during the squat. Got me back on track and started progressing again. Might be different for others but it…

Good option also. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/exercise/new

Just log it as something similar. Like rope jumping fast. Not that big of deal. I dont know anyone who can actually fast rope jump for an hour straight though so that might not be the one to chose. Its just one of the ones that has a similar movement with the calorie burn you claim. Probably better to log it as the name…

Something I have struggled with for a couple years now after losing 50 lbs. I tried "lean" bulking and it does work but man is it slow. Every time I thought I had gained too much too fast I would start cutting again. Ended up spinning my wheels for over a year. I am finally at a point where I just accepted some fluffiness…

What you are doing is pretty good already. If you want to add some twisting motions in there then Russian twists and windshield wipers are good.

2100 calories is less than a pound of fat gain if I eat that much over my maintenance. Totally worth it. Burn it off over the next week and enjoy the extra energy.
-
Add in some cardio on days off. Dont go over board and see how you feel. As you adapt add more. If you have trouble recovering you can always back off a bit.

Is that Frenchy from Grease? :)

Sorry. Its not hating its just telling the truth.

Protein powder makes no difference unless it allows you to get enough protein. They are not magical muscle building drinks. It is just food. You could get enough protein from other sources and as long as calories and macros were the same you would see the same results. Forcing down some awful powder with unsweetened almond…

I dont know why it would be considered sexist. The author links to the studies that back up what he is saying. He may be incorrect or there may be room for debate but its not automatically sexist to say there is differences between the sexes when it come to nutrition and exercise responses. No different than if you…

You are going to need to pick a good program also. Sounds like you are just making it up as you go. Good way to spin your wheels unless you have some experience in program design. Beginners can see results with almost anything they do but this will fade after a few months. Eat at maintenance or below to reduce body fat. If…

If you are in a calorie deficit your weight will go down. The amount of that weight that is from fat loss vs muscle gain will effect your body fat percentage and measurements.

Greg Nuckols is great at this. Here is a video of his squat. Its on facebook so I dont know if everyone can watch it. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152518784313779&pnref=story If you notice about half way up you will see his hips shoot forward. He gets his hips back under the bar and he just stands up. He wrote a…

Close enough. Averages out over the long term as long as you are being honest and doing your best with your logging.

Cook your white rice in chicken broth and it turns brownish. WIN WIN.

I dont know how a mixture of cardio and strength training for an hour everyday is over doing the exercise. Sounds fine to me as long as you are eating enough. Instead of trying to trick yourself by purposely underestimating exercise and over estimating intake try learning to log accurately and then adjusting calories based…

First, two weeks is not long enough to know if you are losing or not. Second, the first week you lost a lot of water weight. Im sure you probably added that back on it is masking the body fat you burned. You should keep exercising and doing your best to log your food as accurately as you can. Stay as close to your calorie…

1 minute of squats would not burn 90 calories. I dont think there is any exercise that could burn that much.

Walking is great and all but if you are looking for optimal results your 45 minutes can be spent doing much more challenging forms of exercise.
