Creatine: Bulk from Amazon Protein: currently liking Wheyology w/ added Leucine by Trunutrition. Tastes amazing. Like melted chocolate ice cream. Sometimes I take C4 when my energy level and gym schedule dont mesh up. Just got C4 becasue they sell it at Costco. I have tried a lot of samples of preworkouts and have never…

Open your diary and log everything you eat after weighing and measuring it. You are probably just not eating as much as you think you are. Lower your activity also. Unless you dont actually want to fix the problem then just keep doing what you are doing.

Are you sure about that? The point of cross training is not to do more cardio but to cross over into strength training. Push ups and pull ups if you dont want to lift weights.

160 grams of protein is only 640 calories. In a diet of 2700-3000 calories that leaves a lot of room for carbs.

Get on a good lifting program. For your height and weight your maintenance should be around 2500 calories if you are working out 4 days per week. You want to adjust your calories so that you are gaining about 2-4 pounds per month. Would probably be around 2700-3000 calories. The faster you gain the more fat you will gain…

I would log it under "Calisthenics home light". Its going to be such a small amount of calories though that you might not want to bother.

No not trolling. You really didnt say anything different than what I did. If you ate ONLY protein with your meal then the insulin response might not be as large. True but who does that? We both agreed that protein is the building block of hypertrophy and that you need protein and energy to create new mass. This will happen…

Not really possible. To build muscle you need protein. When protein is present from your diet you stop burning body fat for energy. This is one of the main functions of insulin. You eat food, you produce insulin, insulin stops (slows) the use of fat for energy. So you wont have the building material and the energy…

250-300 sounds about right for 30 mins.

Me as well. Like the headphones turned way up and just working out alone. But I have had some of my best workouts with a spotter. Really surprised myself with 2-3 more reps that I would not have attempted alone.

Double quater pounder and leg day.....that could be a REALLY bad combo.

Wish there was more info on if there was a benefit or not. I do know some guys that have very physically demanding jobs and then hit the gym after for the heavy lifting. They dont seem to suffer from any over training but also dont seem to be farther along than anyone else. They do get to eat more than me so that makes me…

Body shape only describes where you hold your extra fat. There is no such thing as a workout program for a specific body shape. Strength training to retain strength and muscle. Diet to lose body fat. Cardio for health and endurance.

Ah dont feel ridiculous, its how we learn. A lot of things like this get tossed around the internet and it kind of snowballs into something else. Standing burns more calories than sitting gets turned into standing is good exercise. For most of us standing really is not going to be something that challenges us to the point…

I add a packet of Swiss Miss (no sugar added) to my coffee. We call it a ghetto mocha at our house.

The best nut butters are homemade. Get a bag of your favorite nuts. Start smashing them by hand. It will be thick at first but eventually you will get the creamy nut butter you are looking for. High in protein and negative calories if you count the effort it take to make it. Enjoy.

Interesting article I read on it recently. http://www.exercisebiology.com/index.php/site/articles/are_low_reps_or_high_reps_better_for_muscle_growth_in_trained_lifters/

^Yep. Exactly this. I know Im a guy but for me, my shoulders appeared to get broader as I lost weight and started lifting. In reality it was a combination of becoming leaner, better posture and a narrower waist that made them look bigger. Those are all good things though. It was not that I added a ton of mass or increased…
