This whole topic is just so confusing, i keep going back and forth changing my calorie goals as in 4 weeks I've only lost 1lb (all in the 1st week). For now I'm sticking with 1,300 per day and if exercise cals take me down below 1,200 nett, i will eat some of those back as really that's the lowest the body needs to…

Wow, just logged in and seen all these great ideas! Thank you all, I have lots of food ideas now. I have Quinoa rice cakes but never tried it any other way, think i will give it a go. And I tend not to fry in olive oil anyway because i don't really like the taste, i just use it on salad for e.g when there is a stronger…

Thanks, you do NOT look 42!!!:noway: I'm just ignoring the comments about not needing to lose/ it's natural/ age/ etc etc from now on, not worth the effort trying to explain to some people. Congrats on your own weight loss  x

No, it's the difference between not exercising, and then not exercising AND consuming far too much wine, chocolate, hot chocolate, cream, etc. It's nice when people say things like this, but really... it's not accurate. You're basically advising anyone not seriously overweight to just stay as they are and not try to look…

Yep whey protein is on my shopping list lol! I posted the other day about good protein foods for veggies and got a lot of good suggestions so i won't repeat myself here. Suffice to say I'm working on it... when i have money to shop again haha

No offense taken. I've been changing my calorie goals every few days because i am so confused as to what it should be on. For the most part i've been eating 1,200 - 1,500 calories per day, then burning about 500 calories through exercise.

Thanks. I just started jogging outdoors the other day. Ran 4.46 miles in just under an hour, average 13 mins per mile, not running all the way, lots of little walks. Was a lot harder than on the elliptical or treadmill but i plan to keep it up. There's a pretty hardcore group of runners in my area that i'd like to go with…

Thanks but I WANT to lose some lbs. I don't care if i get to 115 or not, but i am 100% certain i'm not going to get into size 8 jeans without losing some, weight training or not!

That's AWESOME! Congrats:drinker: Gives me hope, thank you

Point taken.... not that you're soft and squishy though haha:laugh:

Thanks hun, no offense taken. I have no money for food shopping so haven't bought any fresh food in a couple of days. If you look back beyond 3 days you will see it was mainly rice cakes, fresh fruit and veg etc. I don't eat meat!

OMG I LOVE sweet potatoes!!! Oven roasted is best, though they are lush mashed up with potatoes too

I'm going to take some pics tomorrow, then again in a couple of weeks and keep doing it for the next few months. I'll try to incorporate more/ harder weight training. I have a session with my PT on thursday so I will ask him about it. Right now we are focusing more on the TRX. I have American friends who are exotic dancers…

Nah, I model myself (freelance amateur) so I'm aware of all the touch ups that go on, especially in pics of glamour models lol. It's more about getting back to the body i used to have. I don't mean in my early teens/ 20's because I'm probably long past the stage where that could happen, but back before i started truly not…

If I grow a 6 pack and my arm muscles start popping out of my shirts in 2 weeks I'm coming after you ok!!
-
LMAO!!! Love this

This is something I'm really struggling with. I don't eat meat so my protein right now tends to come from quorn, mushrooms, eggs, cheese, milk etc, and i don't have a very big or varied list of foods that are high in protein so i kind of get lose trying to think up meals.

I'm already doing weights and strength training most days at the gym for 20 - 30 mins. I can already feel my tummy is hard underneath and my arm muscles have gotten bigger and more defined. In only 4 weeks!! So I know if I do this harder/ longer, i will bulk up. My top half seems to respond a lot quicker to exercise than…

Don't give up Sailor!! I'm going to keep going no matter what... just have to vent here now and then when it all gets too much lol. Whitney, yes those are pretty defined, but not bulky/ muscly per se.. it's hard to describe what I mean. I don't want the individual little ab 6 pack things if you know what i mean, or the big…

Thank you all for clearing that up, I was amazed!. This isn't chicken... i'm a vegetarian! It's Quorn (like a mushroom protein thing) Actually I've been searching for a way to up my protein so i guess this is the answer - quorn, pasta, and cheese together :D Just preferably on a day I didn't already have bread/ tomato…

You look great for you :) But your tummy is obviously very toned. This is more the look I'd love to have. I guess it's just a slimmer waist, and a few inches off the hips/ bum. And yes I know Kelly is actually a size 12 ,not 8, but she looks very slim and toned in this pic and that's the exact look i'm aiming for.

Brilliant thanks, just checked out her blog and it's an eye opener :) I do a mix of cardio and strength training already though I am pretty reliant on the cardio, and trying to focus more on weight training with PT help. I'm taking measurements as I know the scale isn't the be all and end all. I've had a lot of suggestions…

Here's a pic I took Started off with one more fillet and about 6 more spoons of pasta!

I understand tnat you're trying to be helpful, and i take your comments as a compliment honestly. However, I am here because I want to lose 2 dress sizes and be the size i was before i got lazy and just allowed myself to pig out and not do any exercise. A size 12-14 may look nice to you, but I don't want to be a size…

Have added you both x

I'm having the same issue hun, it's very frustrating. I did get some good suggestions when i opened my diary so people could look at what i'm eating. To do this go to settings > diary settings > at the botton where it says sharing, tick the "public" option
-
Didn't mean to say it wasn't hard. Should have said slower rather than harder.
-
Thanks that's nice to know. However, i'm here because i want to lose weight. More specifically, inches off my butt/ thighs so i can fit size 8 (UK) jeans. I am 2 full sizes away from that now and not getting any closer.
-
I told my trainer the areas i want to work on are butt and thighs so while we work all the muscle groups, those are the main areas he's helping me make improvements on.
