Added in a Pilates class the other day and it just clean wiped me out lol! Was not able to run yesterday so completed week 1 day 3 today instead. I plan to begin weights at the gym tomorrow, then day 4 of C25K on thurs!

LOL I love this! I had a similar experience last year when I took up bike riding again after 15 odd years -huffing and puffing my way down a cycle track thinking how well I was doing when two guys in their 60's, puffing on cigarettes while holding a full blown conversation, sailed past me on their ancient bikes!!!!

Ahh this is so awesome to hear all your success stories! Thanks for the inspiration :D OK so I did day 1 and day 2 one after the other, managed a break today even though I was raring to go out lol. I walked for 30 mins instead so still doing something. I'm wondering what to take up on my rest days.. perhaps Pilates or…

I wanted to try last year but only had the plans on the net to go off. I just got an IPhone 5 and downloaded the "Get Running" app for C25k which has all the coaching, and I found it really motivating. Hoping to keep it up and end up running marathons like you guys :D Good luck Crista! We can do it x

Yes. Nothing wrong with it, and if people will pay, there will always be a market

No, unless they are giving you problems of any kind  You could always have them checked out by your surgeon to see if they are still ok x
-
thank you :D nope, wasn't aiming that at you sorry, was just generally throwing it out there having seen so many "ot's so dangerous", "get therapy", "fake tits look stupid" comments already on this thread. Anyone who has actually gone through a BA knows this is utter nonsense. Also d's are not big, even on a small girl.…

your friend is still early in the recovery process. it takes anywhere from 3 - 12 months for under the muscle implants to look more settled. ALso not everyone experiences pain, i had none. And even with unders you will be able to do the exercise you did before so long as you give your body sufficient time to heal and ease…

go for it hun, you won't look back! one of the best things i ever did and wow, to finally feel like a woman is a brilliant feeling. Don't do it to "make yourself feel better" or to make up for any other areas ofinsecurity though, do it as a reward for losing weight/ reaching goal, that's the best incentive :D Wait until…

I don't know the exact ins and outs, but it's generally considered a good idea to make sure you have consumed AT LEAST 1,200 calories per day. So if you eat 1,500 cals but then burn off 600, you need to eat back enough calories to at the very least hit 1,200 x

The argument as to whether transgenderism is a disorder/ not a disorder is pointless. There is no overall academic consensus on this point, and there is support/ evidence against both sides. The best anyone can do is educate themselves on the topic, and remain open minded and respectful. I would however, suggest that…

For the record... psychology isn't the be all and end all of knowledge on issues of identity. Psychological theories are just that, theories... in themselves biased by the perspectives of those who came up with, and have added to them along the way. It's all relative

Added another link to my post above, a lot of stuff from one of the authors mentioned on the page before  For the record, I don't think the OP was intending to cause trouble with this post, i didn't see it that way anyway. Although I can see it is a somewhat dismissive way to phrase a topic. Possibly this is more to…

My masters was in Psychology. This section on the APA website is a good starting point regarding psychological perspectives on gender issues - http://www.apa.org/topics/sexuality/transgender.aspx# Although dumbed down and hugely lacking in information, the wiki article shows a basic timeline of the psychological approaches…
