I have to comment as this is at least the 10th post i've seen about people frustrated on weight loss, that starts with "i've lost ___ lbs, BUT..." Try being me - i've lost ONE yes ONE lb in over a month. Now THAT'S frustrating lol.
-
No not at all, I'm 5"6 and aiming for 115lbs (well aiming for uk size 8 and will stop when i get there whatever the scale says!). That's at the low end of our "healthy weight" range so not too slim at all. Just focus on strength training to sculpt your body shape as others above have said and you will probably find that…

Yes I do. Feels like cheating otherwise

It feels horrible, looks horrible, and is very unfeminine. yuck! More power to those who go hairy, but expect to find me sitting across the room from your smelly pits lol
-
Some of us are less willing to have our faces freely available for all to see on google...

So do i hun and I'm only 130lb, trying to get down 15lb or so and seeing no results. I'm seeing quick and pleasing results from working out, and what's more i'm finding exercise really fun and a little addictive. But counting calories i have to be honest has gotten me nowhere in over a month and a half now. All but given…

Personally i think if you're losing stick with it! Change things up if you stall.
-
. You bring up a very good point! I too am guilty of this i just realized. My father has always been very overweight for as long as I can remember, and the couple of times he's lost some, I've said omg dad you need to stop, you're getting too thin! He wasn't anywhere near thin, but i am used to him "the way he is". To see…

Actually after looking closer, 5 doesn't look too bad. Still skinner than i personally would wish to be, but she doesn't look unhealthy x
-
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th are all "too skinny" as far as i can see, although at least 5 looks like she works out a lot. Number 1 is on the large side, number 2 is perfect x

I've been eating porridge oats and semi skimmed milk, with chopped banana and sprinkling of ground flax seed and a little cinnamon. I'm constantly shocked by how many calories that is - 523!!!! Avocado Peanuts (most nuts in fact) Quinoa Granola (again, ALWAYS shocked by the cals in this stuff - 255!!

Woah! I never knew this! I suffered terrible hayfever as a kid, specifically to tree pollen, and still get random outbursts every few years. Probably explains the usually mild reactions i've had to things like apples... my worst though was always avocado. Strangely I can eat it now without problem.
-
I used to get an allergic reaction to most fruit and raw veg too - itchy mouth, swollen roof of mouth and sometimes tongue, itchy throat. Sometimes with avocado i was seriously scared it was an aniphilactic (spelling??) reaction! But for me personally (Not suggesting this for everyone as obviously could be dangerous for…

Oh yeah that sugar was from the banana and the milk i think. I generally try to avoid anything with too much added sugar. Thanks :)

Shock absorber!!! best of the best

That's amazing! well done you :flowerforyou: And this is a really helpful post for me as I was telling someone close to me about this site and counting calories and exercising etc and she says she can't do it, her knees are too bad. Now I have some suggestions for her x

Generally i try to have eaten my main evening meal by 6 and snacks stop by 10pm. Unfortunately i have a boyfriend who works late and comes back with takeaway, chocolate etc and puts the coffee pot on!!!!

Now I understand that you prefer to trawl the forums for posts to pick on rather than share your knowledge and help people. Here's a tip ... don't like the post... don't comment, simple enough for you? PS your comment has been reported.

hehe i read that by one of the above posters and yes that seems like the most simple solution. Think I'll stick to doing this, cheers all

It's for inputting my food on here (not for recipes since i always go on instinct when i cook) . Whenever i put something in it asks me how much of it i ate i.e. how many grams. At the moment I'm just using whatever option comes up first as i have no idea how to visualize how much 100g of yoghurt is and just guessing…
-
I think some posters here need a wake up call. This is a forum for helping and sharing, not *****ing. It really makes it a very unwelcoming place when some people prefer to make others feel bad.
-
Nope had no idea. The last time i measured anything it was to bake a cake with my mum when i was about 7 and never heard the term tare before hahaha! The scale i have is for food (Not to weigh myself lmao) but it only has lbs on it, it's like a round thing with a little dish on the top.
-
Ok you weigh the ingredients AND the bowl/ container? ha so simple! Giggle if you like but i have honestly stood thre scratching my head trying to figure out how the hell to do this stuff! When I input greek yoghurt for e.g. it comes up with standard 100g portion.. how the hell do i know if what i just ate measures 100g?…
-
Oh gosh maybe this wasn't such a good idea haha! The app shows I've been over on my calories since the start :noway:
-
Ahh brilliant, thanks for the app suggestion, i just downloaded it :flowerforyou:
-
I have seen people on here mention that they go by their weekly instead of daily totals... just wondering how exactly they go about it?
-
Thanks
-
You should really not post unless you have something useful to say
-
Bump?
-
Thanks all :)
